Essence use before serum (same a serums but low %), and after toner.

Yes, you can skip essence (if you feel not need this), but you cant skip toner (toner is basic)

@MissySoup, I saw a YouTuber use the BoJ essence during the toner phase because it's so watery.

toner is lowe concentration than essence. but you dont have to use both toner and essence, you can choose one, it depends on your preference
