I prefer exfoliating toners, as serums tend to be in much Higher concentrations and my skin is sensitive 🙈🤍 But I do have some good exfoliating serums I use Once a while (mostly with PHAs) so It makes it harder to choose between them

Well im used to toners having Also some Soothing ingredients whereas serums just aim to target one concern and consist of one main solving ingredient (product from product might differ ofc) so that's Also why I prefer toners 🥰 but if the concentrations are both 2% serums might be easier to apply when they are in a package with a pipette. I would still do a patch test of both because salicylic acid (for me at least) IS drying. 🙈

Personally for my sensitive skin, I prefer exfoliating toners & then following up with hydrating serums. ☺️

im currently using serum, im using 2% salicylic acid exfo serum, once every 2 days so 3/weeks, so far very gentle but give noticeable progress

I love exfoliating toners because I like to use exfoliators as the first layer or right after a hydrating toner. 🙂
