Honestly, I genuinely think skincare is safe for every skin tone. I have medium/phototype 4 skin and I never had any problem with Korean, Japanese, Indian, Hong Kong or Taiwanese skincare.
And I noticed that people from Asia and medium, darker skin from elsewhere usually have the same skincare concerns (dark spot, hyperpigmentation, late acne) so it's a win-win situation.
For makeup and sunscreens this I another story😅😅😅 But there are gems.
For sunscreen, there are more and more whitecast free sunscreens. I still recommend your read a few reviews BEFORE buying sunscreens.
EVEN if a brand claims their sunscreen leave no whitecast, Check reviews!!
I feel like they don't test them on darker skin soooo🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
AVOID "TONE UP" SUNSCREENS AT ALL COST!🙅🏽
EDIT: I post literal essays on Picky these days. Covid isolation did that to my brain 😅🥴🧠
