Bad experience with Stylekorean

I won a giveaway from them, it was quite big with 10 products, they warned about potential custom fees so I knew I was going to pay some, but they asked for 194 euros (which now are also 194 dollars more or less). The value of the box was 135€... Maybe it's just a problem when they ship to my country (Italy) however DHL contacted me several times through email and phone to ask for details, because they just wrote "beauty box" ten times, without the name of the products, and they didn't even put the harmonizing code... And the graphic overall was quite bad, my name had weird characters in between and my phone number was cut, rounded up, had decimals and an exponent (it was written in bad scientific notation lol). I mean I've won some giveaways from Korea but I've never had to pay so much and also never seen documents written so badly. Also wasted a lot of time. Oh, i contacted them on Instagram on tuesday and they didn't reply (it's Saturday and they had seen it, i also added some documentation). I see a lot of people having a good experience with them so although I knew I was going to pay more i still didn't expect this :S

I've seen this happening several times with my mutuals on insta😬😬 and I think it was StyleKorean too. I don't understand WHY these online shops are messing the documentation so stupidly so many times??? Also, I don't understand why you have to pay 194€ when the value of your package is less than that. Do you have a detailed fee from DHL??

yes not only style Korean provided unsatisfactory information but also DHL charges a lot. if custom says that they are worth 250 and want to charge the vat on that it bothers me too but at least there is a 20€ difference... it bothers me way more what DHL does, because i can't believe it costs 99€ to keep a package with 10 small products so much in your gigantic warehouse 😅 of all the couriers they chose DHL 😫 which is the worst

An Instagram friend also had a problematic giveaway experience with them and high custom fees (Canada). She was able to get the documents needed to pay directly at customs and reduce the cost so not to pay DHL's added fees.

that's a great idea, i tried to contact Italian customs but they didn't reply this time... but I'll try again and ask what do i have to do to talk directly to them without having to use DHL or other couriers for the documentation. thank you
