From my understanding sunscreen sticks and powder are nice for reapplying, but they don't provide the advertised SPF protection unless you adequate amount.
This of course goes with all sunscreens but with sunscreen sticks and powders it's hard to wear the correct amount.
So if you want to reapply on the go, sticks are probably better than powders but the best way to ensure optimal coverage and protection is with a traditional lotion/cream/fluid/etc.
Also if I'm spending like a long day outside, I'll probably opt for a sunscreen with water resistance or is known to have technology that helps it prevent it from getting rubbed off.

I don’t use anything less than SPF 50 anymore. And I do have a sunscreen powder but I use that more for oil control or makeup touch up throughout the day, not as my primary SPF. Just like with other makeup products that contain SPF, you’d have to apply an awful lot of it to get the full SPF coverage and no one is applying that much.

I opt for spf 50 preferably. Sunsticks for reapplying during the day cause as previously said they aren’t as effective.
