UV Super Moisture Milk SPF 50+ PA++++
Sunscreens usually aren’t all that expensive. But finding one you really like at the right price takes some thought. I already madly in love with a well-formulated effective and affordable sunscreen! It’s the Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk SPF 50.
• Texture
Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk is a thin, runny milk-type sunscreen. Immediately after application, this sunscreen looks and feels wet and shiny, but it dries down to a clear satin finish that can go more matte or more dewy depending on your skin condition and what skincare you have underneath.
• Scent
Smell like most sunscreen and it will gone when applying on skin.
• Personal Experience & Thought
I’m super picky with sunscreens and I prefer mineral, physical or inorganic sunscreens over chemical. This one is a mix of zinc oxide and chemical filters but the chemical filters are not irritating.
The product is a thin liquid that comes out of a nozzle. I love the smooth milky texture and how it sinks into the skin. It can feel a bit greasy at first on combination skin but you can feel it sink into the skin and it feels moisturised. It dries to a smooth, skin-like finish with a very slight glowiness. It's lee shiny or greasy. Compared to the famous Biore Watery Essence SPF 50+, this is MUCH less shiny.
I have medium tan skin and if I apply the correct amount, it doesn't look white because it doesn't contains any titanium dioxide.
I have been wanting to try Japanese sunscreens but the high alcohol content is a big no and this one is alchohol free and fragrance free!! I have oily skin and many products clog my pores but this hasn’t. I just wish it was bigger or cheaper for the tiny size.
All in all, very convenient for daily use. Keep in mind that if you use the product on your face at the correct amount, you should finish the 40g tube in under a month.
• Suitable For
Nothing I say can explain how perfect this is.
If you have dry skin this is perfect for you, if you have normal or combination skin this is perfect for you. If you don’t like to look too greasy but you don’t want to look dry this is perfect for you.
If you are sensitive to organic (“chemical”) UV filters, silicones, or anything else in the ingredients list, you should avoid it.
I think dry skin types would probably love this sunscreen. As for oily skin types, it's not the best choice and definitely didn't control oil throughout the day. By the end of the day, you definitely look oilier with this sunscreen than you would look if it hadn't been applied.
----
To conclude, there are a few pros and cons for this sunscreen.
PRO :
- It is very moisturizing and I think perfect for the winter months and drier skin types.
- It didn't sting my eyes.
- When you first apply the sunscreen, it does look a bit white but that dissipates and dries to a sheer finish on the skin, leaving no white cast.
CONS :
- For the oily skin type (like myself) it is a little too moisturizing for my T-zone (nose, forehead, chin).
- It will change the color of liquid makeup and the makeup will break up easier, unless you wait about 20 minutes after applying the sunscreen before you put any makeup on.
- The finish it leaves is not matte, but not super oily either. It's somewhere in between, making it more easily transfer off the face if disturbed. For my oily skin, I would prefer a matte finish so this might not be a con for everyone.
