Sport Sunscreen SPF120 PA++++
This sunscreen is formulated for sports activities. Its waterproof-ness lasts for 4 hours according to the packaging. Although I'm not the sporty type, I needed a waterproof sunscreen for outings where I would swim or sweat a lot and I came across this product. Surprisingly, this sunscreen was affordable and looked lightweight.
☀️🏊♀️Texture/ Consistency:
It is a very runny, watery, and lightweight liquid sunscreen. There's a high chance it'll drip off your fingers if you don't put it on your face fast enough. As someone with oily skin, I always welcome lightweight sunscreens and this definitely checks that box!
☀️🏊♂️Finish/ Feel on the Skin:
It glides on my skin pretty well. It does kind of get caught up in my eyebrows and settle in the nooks and crevices like by my nose. However, after a bit more blending on those parts and after a few minutes, it's not that noticeable. It's not a completely matte finish, but it's not incredibly dewy or greasy either. It does have a slight shine to it, but not to the point where you look oily enough to cook eggs on. I think both oily and dry skin types could manage this and tailor their routines around it easily. I found that it's better to build this up during application instead of applying everything all at once. However, if you're pressed for time, you might be able to get away with it if you're good at blending 😅.
This also has a minty finish on the skin that goes away after between 5-10 minutes. It dries up quite quickly and doesn't feel sticky on the skin at all. It doesn't absorb all the way, but it didn't bother me like some products that kind of just sit on top of the skin. It sits okay on top of other skincare products, but I don't think makeup would sit well on top of it mainly because it wasn't made to be under makeup. Lastly, I did not experience any noticeable whitecast after applying it. There's a bit of a tone up effect, but nothing really bad on my deep, olive (morena) skin tone.
☀️🏊Scent:
It's a combination of that typical sunscreen smell (with a small hint of citrus) and A LOT of menthol. The menthol is quite overpowering and might remind you of Vicks Vaporub if you smeared it all over your face.
☀️🏊♀️Performance:
I used this while I was swimming and it definitely stayed on. It didn't wash away or run down my fave. I also didn't get any sunburn or get more tan, and I noticed that none of my hyperpigmentation from acne got any darker, so I was thankful for that.
I also used this when I went out for a long walk, and it didn't bother me at all. It didn't feel thick or sticky like some sunscreens do. I didn't have to worry about accidentally wiping off sunscreen while wiping off my sweat because the sunscreen absorbs and dries pretty quickly after fully rubbing it in. I experienced no problems with reapplication, and I think the product boasts that you can reapply on wet skin as well, though I have not tried it yet.
☀️🏊♂️ Some notable ingredients:
Kelp extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate,‼️8 UV filters‼️
☀️🏊Packaging:
It's a small, yellow and white bottle with a nozzle. It's easy to bring around. There's 35 grams in the bottle. The product comes out fine, and there's something inside to help stir the product when you shake it before using.
☀️🏊♀️Additional thoughts:
If your skin isn't too sensitive towards alcohol and you're an active, outdoorsy person, then you might enjoy this product. I wouldn't wear it as a day-to-day sunscreen, but it would definitely be one of my picks for any activity that involved sweating. I am definitely comforted with the fact that it has so many UV filters and that it is waterproof and sweat proof for up to 4 hours.
Overall, I like the sunscreen. It's something I would repurchase, but there are definitely some things that need improvement.
☀️🏊 When I went swimming with this on, as soon as I went under the water and came up, everyone started commenting how my face was so white and my eyes stung a bit. After awhile, the white cast was not that noticeable anymore. This only happened when I went swimming, and I didn't notice any whitecast on my face when I used it for my long walk. The whitecast when I went swimming may have been due to me not letting it absorb long enough (it says to wait 15 minutes before going out in the sun).
☀️🏊♀️ I did notice that I looked a bit gray with it on.
☀️🏊♂️ Can be irritating due to the alcohol
☀️🏊♀️ It feels waaay too minty on the face. It's a nice cooling effect at first, but after a minute and putting on more, the minty feeling is quite overpowering and might bother you. It feels as if I put Vicks Vaporub or toothpaste all over my face.
☀️🏊♂️ Quite small in quantity
