I normally use a prescription tretinoin every other day as a way to prevent wrinkles. I mention this because for me this was a nice gentle way to use retinol, although the company claims it is gentle enough for retinol beginners. I'm able to use it everyday and the next day I have no redness or peeling. The texture serum has a yellow hue to it and it's a bit viscous, however it easily absorbs into the skin. It has that hotdog water scent that a lot of Vitamin C serums have but it doesn't bother me. It's a lovely serum and I've not suffered from any side effects.
