Trader Joe's - cleahanchey review for Watermelon Overnight Face Mask

Trader Joe’s Watermelon Overnight Face Mask is a water-based gel that is intended to be worn overnight to brighten & invigorate your skin. This mask is infused with watermelon in so many ways and includes a wealth of ingredients that your skin can benefit from - Watermelon Fruit Water - Watermelon Seed & Fruit Extract - Sodium Hyaluronate to hydrate - Glycolic Acid to exfoliate - Plant Derived Squalane to moisturize that will have you waking up with hydrated and more plump, and radiant skin. If you have sensitive skin you can also wear this mask for 10-20 minutes then rinse before you continue with your routine. Watermelon has become a hot ingredient over the past couple years and for good reason. Watermelon is full of antioxidants and is packed with lycopene and Vitamins A & C. It is great to use for anti aging as it helps encourage the growth of elastin and collagen to help you keep your youthful skin. This mask has been said to be, and I believe it, to be a good dupe of the Glow Recipe’s Mask. There are some pretty obvious similarities, like color and smell (the smell! I love it so much). The biggest difference between the two is that Trader Joe’s version is thicker in consistency and absorbed better in my dry areas. I’ve used both masks in the past year and I honestly didn’t see a difference in results. I basically got the same results with Trader Joe’s $6.99 mask compared to Glow Recipe’s $45 mask. My skin was brighter with a slight glow, soft, hydrated and clear with both. I stock up on this mask at Trader Joe’s as soon as it becomes seasonal. I have about 8 jars in my closet now! That’s how much I love it. I use it 2-3 times a week. That said this mask may not work like it does for me for others. Glow Recipe’s mask is amazing. But if you are on a budget then I would recommend TJ’s version. PROS: - Does not irritate my skin - Scent. It smells so good I could eat it (but DON’T! Please!!) - Hydrates well. Doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry - Skin look more plump after 3rd use - Wake up with a nice radiant glow - Does not leave skin feeling sticky
