I have sensitive skin and used to clean my face using a washcloth to avoid using my hands and to be able to still work my cleanser into a lather, which was too harsh and irritated my skin. I have been using this charcoal Konjac sponge for a few weeks and I absolutely love it! It doesn't look that way when dry, but when rehydrated for a couple minutes in water it takes a soft triangular shape the size of half my hand. It has a string loop that is useful to hang the sponge to dry after use. It is porous and I apply a dime-sized amount of cleanser on it before working it in circular motion on damp skin. It is extremely gentle on my sensitive skin and does not cause irritation. I love that just the fact of doing circular motions on my face makes my cleanser lather well, and also gently exfoliates my skin. The shape and size also makes it easy to clean and exfoliate areas that are harder to access, like the sides and bottom of my nose. I also appreciate the fact that it is derived from a natural source and is environmentally friendly. Unfortunately I cannot speak for the price of it since I received it as a gift from a family member.
