Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F
I previously used The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% to treat my Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), but I decided to switch to this because it has a higher Vitamin C percentage. I have brown skin, so the process of removing my PIH is a long one. With that being said, compared to the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%, this made the process of eliminating my PIH faster. (I opted to use a Vitamin C derivative so I can use Niacinamide in my routine.) It also has a longer shelf life. It takes a long time for it to oxidize.
Please take note that this is an oil-based product. I don't know why The Ordinary decided to make this Vitamin C derivative in this formulation. But if you're weary of using oils, take this into consideration. I have an oily-resilient skin type, but I am rather fond of using oils (dry skin = oleic acid / oily skin = linoleic acid). I use this near the end of my routine, before using moisturizer. My skin absorbs this fast, and the texture of the product is not offputting.
My main concern about this product is the packaging. There is something wrong with the cap, and even if I close it tight, it pops. I have a few spills here and there. So, please be careful.
