AmeeJay review for Extra UV Gel SPF50 + PA ++++

Kanebo’s Allie Extra UV Gel SPF50+ PA++++ is one of their physical sunscreens among a wide range of sunscreens produced by the brand. I purchased it at a local Watson store priced at RM67.90 (~$16.35) with a size of 90g which is decently priced. The star ingredients being Zinc Oxide, Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate. This sunscreen is also formulated with sunscreen as the third highest ingredient in the list. The new and improved version is Friction Proof and increased resistance to water. The product claims to be great for daily use, comfortable when using and moisturizing while still protects the skin even when sweating. This sunscreen pretty much changed my perspective on SPF formulated with Alcohol. It’s a physical sunscreen with a creamy texture but not the thick kind. Applying it feels like a chemical sunscreen. It’s not a thick cream but close to a gel cream type. The amount I usually use is two fingers and it’s enough even including my neck. Due to being a physical sunscreen, it did appear to lighten my usually tanned skin after applying but looks less obvious after it sets. I do support that it is comfortable and moisturizing for daily use. The sunscreen even gives a nice dewy look but not oily. I tested the claims by applying this sunscreen before every morning run. I dabbed my skin when sweating and it stained my shirt 🥲 but can be washed 😊It does seem to resist water as it took a great deal of workout for my sweat to be overbearing. In conclusion, I really liked this sunscreen. Definitely exceeded my expectations! My opinion on SPF formulated with Alcohol may have changed but for now I only apply it to sunscreens. I would recommend to those looking for physical sunscreen that’s moisturizing. Allie has a smaller sized sunscreen to test out is necessary. Definitely would repurchase (if it doesn’t keep sellling out so often 😂)
