Prevage Anti-Aging Daily Serum - Idebenone is the not so secret ingredient in Prevage products, and it is a highly powered antioxidant. An analog to Coenzyme Q10, it is purported to łhelp fine lines and wrinkles. Antioxidants work by reducing the imbalance of free radicals, produced during oxidative stress in the skin. Free radicals are molecules that damage the skin, collagen, and reduce elasticity. Free radicals are produced during a process called oxidative stress. Claims made by the line include brightening dull skin and complexion, reducing appearance of sun damage/hyperpigmentation: minimizing expression lines, fine lines and the appearance of wrinkles, and boosting your overall complexion. I’m inclined to agree. I have NO visible sun damage or hyperpigmentation, a reasonably bright complexion, and very few fine lines. While i do get some expression lines, they’re not really wrinkles or fine lines. Impressively, Prevage has partnered with Allergan on its prescription strength formulas. I haven’t met an Allergan product I don’t love. What I find most unique about the product is the immediacy of its results. I’ve taken breaks from the serum, and the day I go back to using it, I get compliments on my skin. I have to admit that I really love this serum. I use it regularly with Retinoids and Hydroxy Acids (A,B and P) and I get a synergetic effect. Since i use the non-prescription formula, this serum is meant for daily use, morning and night. It's also not just for mature skin—it claims to protect against future signs of aging, too. I’m a believer. As much as I’ve tried to use primarily natural products, this Anti-Aging daily serum always finds its way back into my skincare routine.
