Fermented Red Serum Oil
As having oily and acne prone skin, I used to be afraid every time I wanted to try face oil, afraid to make my face even more oily, not to mention that the smell of face oil sometimes made me back off. But... now there are more and more face oils with cool formulations, and one of them is this Fermented Red Oil.
This Fermented Red Oil belongs to the blended oil category, with the main ingredient being Chrombright™ (Dimethylmethoxy Chromanyl Palmitate) extract. So Chromabright™ is a patented molecule, scientifically proven as a skin lightening ingredient that is safer for long-term use when compared to Hydroquinone, Arbutin, or Kojic Acid.
In my opinion, this texture is light, not heavy oil type which is thick and difficult to spread on the face. The scent is very subtle, it doesn't bother me at all. Even if I try to use this oil in the morning, it doesn't matter, I usually use it before a gel-type sunscreen. But I really prefer to use this face oil at night, use it after moisturizer or make #ScrambledOil if I want to be lighter. And even though it's red, the red doesn't come from artificial coloring, you know. So very safe.
My tips for using facial oil so that it doesn't feel too greasy on the face, Rub both palms until they feel warm, then drop 2-3 drops of oil, and rub again and then apply to the face while massage. I guaranteed it won't feel heavy and greasy.
In addition, I usually mix this face oil into my body lotion at night before going to bed, so my skin doesn't dry out even if I sleep in an air-conditioned room all night. I've been trying this face oil for almost a month, it really does work to even out my skin tone, especially since I have a lot of PIH acne scars due to the mask.
I think this is the face oil that I use up the fastest, it's only been a month that it's reduced a lot.
It might feels kinda heavy and too greasy if use on morning routine. Especially if use viscouse toner and moisturizer before.
