This skin barrier-supporting cream's star ingredient is kombucha, or fermented tea, which soothes skin, helps the skin's microbiome, and contains mild acids that condition pores. Other ingredients support the kombucha's effects of moisturizing (glycerin, hyaluronic acid, dimethicone, shea butter), brightening (niacinamide, turmeric), and anti-aging (adenosine). This product is thick, waxy, and buttery yellow in color. It comes in a jar and contains no artificial colors or dyes. The waxiness makes it a little more difficult to spread on the skin, but not overly so. It sinks in well, but due to the occlusives, you can definitely feel that there is something on your face. I didn't mind this, however, since the weather here is cold and my skin could use a little extra protection. I've been testing quite a few products lately and my skin barrier has been super angry. I definitely feel like this helped preserve my barrier and keep it from completely breaking down.
