House of Dohwa is an eco-friendly, cruelty-free skincare brand utilizing ingredients recreated from Korean traditions & nature. Washing with rice water was traditionally the most common beauty method to brighten & whiten complexion as well as soften skin. The main ingredient of this mask is rice bran extract, made from 9 kinds of native Korean rice, grown & locally harvested using traditional farming methods. It contains several types of rice extracts: ▪️Rice Powder – exfoliates skin ▪️Rice Extract - skin brightening & firming benefits ▪️Rice Bran Water – contains nutrients to clear & brighten skin ▪️Rice ferment filtrate (fermenting of rice with yeast) - helps reduce hyperpigmentation & brightens Other ingredients include Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide & Tocopherol (Vit E) This wash-off mask has a soft, creamy texture formula with real rice grains. It comes in a 100ml pouch with a spout that makes it easy to apply with minimal mess. I usually don’t use wash-off masks because of the messiness, but really liked this one, as the packaging makes it easy to use. When I opened it, I thought it was going to be really thick, but it has a whipped cream-like texture that spreads easily onto skin. I could feel the tiny rice grains that provides a soft scrubbing effect for exfoliating dead skin cells. I did notice a very slight fragrance (rice/coconut) but it fades quickly. The mask does not dry out, like other masks I’ve used before. I did find it a little hard to remove, so after using again, I applied the mask before my shower, & removed it there. My skin felt soft, smooth, hydrated & even looked a little brighter. I like how gentle this mask is & it would be suitable for all skin types as it is does not scratch or irritate skin. This was my first time trying anything from this brand & I would definitely recommend!
