❄️ I am very excited to share with you my thoughts on the new @somebymi AHA BHA PHA Calming TrueCica Micellar Cleansing Water! ❄️ CLAIMS ❄️ - Refreshing cleanser that gently buffs away dead skin buildup, and leaves skin purified, softened, and brightened - no wash formula, meaning you don’t need secondary cleansing ❄️ PACKAGING ❄️ - Stays true to the rest of the products in the Cica line, beautiful green and white branding - HUGE plastic bottle (300mL) ❄️ MAIN INGREDIENTS ❄️ - TrueCica blend (couldn’t easily find breakdown of this) - AHA/BHA/PHA (exfoliant) - Ceramide (skin barrier) - Niacinamide (brightening) ❄️ TEXTURE AND SCENT ❄️ - Super watery lightweight texture - Works great to use on a cotton pad, glides over skin nicely - does leave me a bit sticky, dewy - haven’t had any reactions to all the exfoliants. Feels very gentle for my skin - No stripped feeling at all - strong herbal scent (notice in ingredients the tea tree, rosemary, and other extracts and oils) ❄️ EXPERIENCE ❄️ - Reenee Rates It: 4/5 Now I’m not usually a fan of micellar waters over cleansing oils and balms, but this one does a pretty good job at achieving what it claims. For someone who wears little to no makeup or just has to clean off spf at the end of this day, this is a perfect product for you. I do find it nice on lazy nights to just swipe this over my face with a cotton pad and finish up a simple routine. As you can see, after one swipe it takes off eye shadow and lip tints quite easily, but took some scrubbing to get an eyeliner (and mascara too) off. It leaves my skin dewy and slightly brightened, but it DOES leave me sticky which I’m not a huge fan of. I love the herbal smell, but it is strong. Overall, if you’re looking for a simple and quick way to refresh your skin throughout the day or just have minimal things to wash off at the end of the night, you might really enjoy this. It does claim to be sensitive skin friendly but there are quite a lot of extracts and oils in here, so definitely patch test first if you’re not sure. This bottle will last me a LONG time!
