The stickler for me was really the experience. I thought peel off masks was a thing of the 90s or I remembered many brands coming out with such masks back then. Has it made a comeback?! After you apply the gel, you got wait at least 15-20mins⌛before it dries and becomes ready to peel off. As a working adult, I really didn't have the time or patience to wait such a long time for the gel to dry 🕥. My first attempt was a fail👎. I applied too little and the gel kept breaking off in small flakes rather than a whole piece. So my second try I was very generous. It exacerbated some kind of fume which irritated my eyes 👀 and I could actually smell👃 it. As it dries, the mask became uncomfortably tight and I couldn't tell a difference after I used it. Peeling off the mask is a whole other challenge too! I keep pinching my skin to get the mask off.
