Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen SPF 50
This is my first time ever trying a Glow Recipe product, a brand I've been really itching to try for a long time and I’m very excited to get to talk about it for #sunscreensunday .
I'm really happy that everything about it just screams GLOW RECIPE. The light watermelon scent, the unique shape and bright shimmery pink packaging, and the quality formula I was expecting.
🍉 This sunscreen has niacinamide, aloe, and hyaluronic acid to make for a gentle, hydrating, and brightening sunscreen with hybrid filters.
🍉 My skin is dry and sensitive, and has had lots of issues with sunscreens drying me out or burning my skin. This sunscreen did neither. It wasn't super moisturizing, so my skin would get dry throughout the day, but it was enough paired with a light moisturizer and reapplication.
🍉 This sunscreen hasn't given me any breakouts, no eye stinging, doesn't dry my out, the white cast is minor and fades fast, and has a very glowy and dewy finish. The texture is a lightweight lotion, and it's super easy to apply.
🍉 My expectations were high and this sunscreen met almost all of them! I would find it better suited as a summer sunscreen though due to how lightweight it is, so I will be putting it away for the rest of the winter.
You really need to make sure you apply it well after your moisturizer sets or it will pill!! It has a minor pilling problem and is not subtle in facial hair until after the cast fades.
It is nit a cheap sunscreen lol
