[Price]
This cleanser was gifted to me in exchange for my review, but browsing around, it seems it costs from about $13 USD to around $18.
I'm loving the size of this cleanser bottle. You get 5.07 fl oz/150ml! That's a lot. Especially since a teeny tiny bit goes a long way (you really don't need even half of what I used in my demo video). This could last you months and months.
[Packaging]
It has a minimalist aesthetic that looks very sharp and clean. It is also very easy to dispense product from the bottle.
[Consistency]
Wow, this lather is creamy and dense! Nearly like that of a shaving cream! You hardly need any product at all, and using a bit more water than you think gives a great, fast foam. It's very fun to use and feels luxurious and soft. I believe the myristic acid is what creates this foam, but Paula Begoun notes that it can be drying.
[Eyes]
This does not sting my eyes.
[Scent]
Smells like citrus. I can especially smell orange and lemon. I like the scent, which comes from fruit extracts and oils.
[Conclusion]
This is something you may like if oily skin has been particularly pervasive. I haven't needed to use a moisturizer all Summer because there has been plenty on and in my skin. Production's working overtime lol
I actually enjoy this more than my favorite P.Calm Underpore Foam Cleanser. This Ceuracle Pro Balance Creamy Cleanser is such a lovely, fluffy experience and doesn't leave my pores filled with anything. There are times with the P.Calm Cleanser this Summer that I think it actually hasn't been quite good enough after my first oil cleanser.
❌Fruit oils and extracts may be potentially irritating to those with sensitive skin:
•tea tree leaf oil
•orange peel oil
•grapefruit peel oil
•bergamot fruit oil
•lemon fruit extract
•orange fruit extract
Lemon in particular is a known photosensitizer, meaning skin can react harshly once introduced to sunlight. But I will say that this is in a cleanser that you rinse off. I imagine not very much of these ingredients remain on the skin.
❌lauric acid is another ingredient I was personally very wary of, as it is very comedogenic. However, I have not experienced any breakouts.
And lastly, the largest determining factor for whether you will like this or not, is how it feels once the foam has been washed off.
❌I'll be honest, while it feels clean to my very oily skin, I think those with dry skin or dermatitis patches will likely think this feels stripping.
As I rinse the foam away, my hands on my face sound kind of "rubbery," squeaky clean.
I know this will kill it for a lot of people, but for me, even though it sounds like that during the rinse, ✅my skin doesn't get that tight, dry feeling afterwards. It's interesting.
