These disks are to be massaged into wet skin to make a foam. There is a smooth side for gentle cleaning especially around the eye area and a textured side for the chin and nose spots. Rinse and the pad is disposed of. I am not a fan of this disposable products. They are good to keep on hand if you are in a hurry and need a quick wash.
