All opinions are my own. COSRX is popular Korean skincare brand with a wide range of products that has won many famous awards in the beauty industry. The Retinol 0.5 Oil is a facial oil infused with 0.5 retinol that targets the loss of elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles and breakouts. 🖤Other notable ingredients: ✨Squalane ✨Tocotrienol (Vitamin E) ✨Soybean Oil 🖤Price: 25 USD (20 ml) ✨✨My experience ✨✨ Cosrx is one of my favourite Korean skincare brands and it’s products rarely disappoint me. This retinol oil is not an exception and worked really well for my skin! The oil is quite liquid, pretty lightweight and spreads and absorbs easily. It does feel a bit greasy, but nothing really uncomfortable. My oily skin is usually not a big fan of oils, but I find this one not too heavy. It doesn’t clog my pores either. This oil has yellowish colour and absolutely no smell. It is recommended to be used 3 times per week for the first two weeks and then increase the usage to every other day starting from third week. It is also recommended to store the product in the fridge and pair it with Cosrx Retinol 0.1 Cream for optimal results. My skin is quite resilient and used to retinol, so I’ve started using it every other day after a week only and didn’t experience any irritation or dryness. My skin actually feels amazing every morning whenever I use this oil a night before! It makes my skin incredibly smooth, soft, moisturized and nourished. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and already noticed slight reduction in breakouts and tiny pimples I used to have on my forehead. My skin also looks somewhat brighter and the skin tone appears more even. Few weeks is not quite enough to experience anti-aging benefits of retinol-based products as it usually takes about 12 weeks to have noticeable results. I am planning to continue using it to assess long-term results. I also did pair it with the cream for the same line as recommended to get the maximum benefits.
