This Maybelline mascara in Very Black has ten layers of bristles for a full fan like effect. The tiny bristles also allow you to avoid clumps and adds length. I like this mascara. The color is great, it builds quickly. You are able to get great length. But volume is what this mascara is missing. Because the bristles are so thin and there are so many of them, it does separate the lash but the lashes have nothing to curve around to build volume and fatten up.
