I gave the Dr. Sensitive Collagen + Vitamin C Serum a shot as a budget-friendly alternative. Its watery consistency made it a breeze to apply and it absorbed quickly. While my skin did feel plumper and more hydrated, I didn't notice any significant brightening effect from the vitamin C. Still, it's a decent option considering the price. Just remember to use sunscreen with it during the day.
