AliKat29 review for Velvet Yam Pressed Serum

BLITHE Velvet Yam Pressed Serum is a hydrating serum featuring wild yam root extract as its main ingredient. The roots of yams actually contain mucin, so essentially the botanical version of snail mucin, which is very hydrating and revitalizing. Other key Ingredients include shea butter, macadamia oil, and several fruit and seed oils. I was really excited to try this, because I have been wanting to try BLITHE's pressed serums since they were first released. I use pressed serums from other brands that I love, especially the way they melt into an almost oil-like texture that instantly absorbs into my skin. This pressed serum was not at all like I expected, I'm actually not sure why they even call it "pressed" or even a "serum." (See video) It looks and feels exactly like a moisturizer or cream. Also, the jar was literally half empty when I opened it. My skin did like the ingredients though. It is definitely very hydrating, non-greasy, and made my skin look plump and dewy. I am still slightly disappointed though, because I have 20 moisturizers that do the exact same thing, and I wanted a new pressed serum.
