Replenishes and helps to preserve skin’s healthy barrier while effectively cleansing skin. The result? Visibly smoother, younger-looking skin with each use!
🔬PAULA’S CHOICE: RESIST: Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser is a silky smooth skin-softening cleanser that replenishes skin’s moisture content while gently but effectively cleansing skin and removing makeup. It’s apart of the Paula’s Choice RESIST collection that is directly dedicated target for fighting the effects of aging. Which is not only exclusive to “mature” skin, but skin with: enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, dullness, rough surface texture, clogged pores, and wrinkles. All of which can be experienced at any age—the benefits of the line can be felt by anyone of any age. The RESIST line does not solely focus on skin type unlike other Paula’s collections; but rather about giving skin (normal/dry or normal/oily/combination) of any age more of what it generally needs to replenish and renew itself, fight signs of environmental stress, and look younger. There are currently two available lines for it. That being The RESIST line for normal to dry skin which provides skin-smoothing hydration and silky, emollient ingredients that renew the skin's appearance, leaving it soft and supple. And the RESIST line for normal to oily skin which helps minimize clogged, enlarged pores and red areas without drying out skin, while also improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (without feeling heavy or greasy and without making skin feel dry and tight).

💭GEMERAL THOUGHTS vs. CLAIMS
I’ve used this for years now and it’s a product staple. At the moment my skin is more even more sensitized in it’s dehydration and this has a tendency to give me controlled breakouts (which it has done even in the early days of using it). And I just need more hydration in general. BUT my 4 star comes from the fact it truly is moisture balancing and calmed my texture and stopped the dulling of my skin. I would currently give it 3.5 stars but you can’t do that here lol. It has a non-fragrant lotion-y texture that emulsifies into a smooth latherless milky lotion. I’ve used this as a mini mask which is my favorite application to damp skin. And as a daily cleanser. My face has always felt clean, but I only wear sunscreen BUT I live a humid asf place. I’m in my 20s so I can’t speak for how the claims or others may define younger. But for me it means more calmed skin so no flakes, moisture balanced, etc; and the texture from gained my acne scars were slightly reduced. So that claim more than less is worth it’s salt. Overall it stayed one of my favorites for the winter months. And because I’m in dry air conditioned buildings most of the time. In the future I may go back to this.
I wouldn’t describe this as hydrating in and of itself per se but rather it acts as something that is moisture retaining. I personally wouldn’t glowingly recommend it for very acne prone skin; but I do thinks regardless it’s worth a try for dehydrated combo-oily people. recommended it. The price is a bit steep but in my opinion it’s worth it…especially if it’s on sale mostly lol.
