Resurfacing Compound
The formula brightens, resurfaces, renews, tightens, equalizes, and defends all in one. Making this THEE beauty product to use instead of establishing a "routine" of various different other methods & means.
My interest sparked with the knowledge that this compound claims to "diminish pores", as well as reduce the signs of obvious aging. (**my skin has had better days! Eek!!)
Vegan, clean & cruelty-free. Never tested on animals, made in Italy, tested for skin sensitivity, safe for all skin types/tones AND can be used around the eyes! (**okay, that does sound pretty great! Not going to lie! Hahaa)

🔗MY EXPERIENCE
After washing with my Tatcha Rice Wash & toning with my Thank You Farmer Rice Toner--I applied the sample all over my face & neck. Allowed it to dry down to a tacky feel and finished with a moisturizer & eye serum.
So far has been so good. When it dries down, it becomes very taunt and stiff. Like you are wearing a second skin and that skin is stretching over your entire face. It absorbs very quick leaving a glossy sheen. Some reviews have mentioned that the "tightness" only lasts for a few seconds but I beg to differ. It lasts a good long while before it dulls down and becomes a moisturized softness.
The liquid is a yellow/orange thick consistency that doesn't have much of a smell. Little goes a very long way and apparently, you use half the envelope in the morning & the other half at night. (**which I did!)
After my first use (**mind you, I have 3 samples of this from three subscription magazines I've collected over the months!) And the first thing I noticed was my texture. My cheeks and nose area tend to have this permanent redness to them but that cleared up easily after the first initial application. Pore size did shrink but nothing too noticeable.
My complexion was brighter & lighter. Almost as if my skin had been airbrushed and blurred. The touch was very smooth & velvety. Something to note--after application, my skin in certain parts started to "roll off" with my touch. Could be dry skin, could be the product itself. Idk but it happened!
✅What I love about this stuff--it's one of those multi-tasking products that add time back into your routine. You can ditch the toner, vitamin C, antioxidant serums and hyaluronic acids because all of that can already be found with this resurfacing compound.
❌Now, what I dislike? The price is definitely steep!! At $228, this is basically a high-end brand you're going to have to invest in, if you want to live that velvet dream. Lol but what confuses me, what is the reason behind the price? Why so high for a product I can basically mimic using various other cheaper brands? It's not some well-known, well-established brand that can flaunt a premium pricetag.
What really grinds my gears is that the ingredients listed are just common everyday ones you could find in almost every other skincare product on the market. It's not exotic or rare breeds of ingredients. So, $228 just doesn't make sense.
With that being said, this product does work. It makes my skin feel nice but I just can't get over the arm & leg you have to sacrifice to obtain the product. It's just too expensive to see me (**or anyone, for that matter!) Keep up a continued routine with. This is one of those "must use everyday to keep results" kind of products, you know? You'll need to keep using but at that price point, a luxury is a luxury that just wouldn't pay off with such sparing use.
