This product confused me so much at first. There is a lock to turn and then you can spray it. It is a continuous sprayer. It comes out kind of white and foams up. When I first tried it, I followed the directions by spray it directly to my clean scalp. This was DISASTROUS. It felt like applying a foaming cleanser, and the more I massaged it in, the more it would foam up. I'm just so confused why they would put so much of the foaming agent in the formula, especially for a leave in treatment. I think they thought it would help disperse the product better. Following the directions yielded horrible results, my hair got matted down by the product and the roots looked super flat. After that I tried a different way, spraying it into my palms and then applying to scalp. This worked so much better!
