Hypoallergenic Cica Rescue Gauze Pad
All brands products were made for allergy-prone and sensitive skin types. My skin is sensitive, and I always need to have something calming in my everyday skincare routine. One of the ingredients which is great for sensitive skin is Azulene (or Guaiazulene, a derivative of Azulene), a natural botanical oil derived from the steam distillation of chamomile known for the anti-inflammatory properties.
These pads are the brand’s bestseller. These are my first hydrating pads - before had only tried exfoliating ones. Usually Guaiazulene gives the products its light blue color, but not in this case - essence which pads are soaked in, doesn’t have any color. It contains Guaiazulene, Honey Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Rosa Centifolia (Cabbage Rose) Flower Water, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Allantoin.
The pads have coarse and smooth sides, but I never use them for exfoliation. Instead I use them as toner, sometimes leaving pads on my face for a few minutes - stay well on the face. It’s 60 pads in a pack, these are small size, but more than enough for my face and neck. The essence is lightweight, like a watery toner, absorbs quickly with no residue, leaving hydrated velvety softest skin. I think these pads are perfect for oily sensitive skin especially for the summer.
Lid and plastic tweezers are included with the pads, so they are convenient to use.
I bought pads with cream from the same line, and I can say these work great, but for me azulene is not as effective as mugwort in terms of soothing irritated skin.
