My Thoughts:
I have oily and hyperpigmented skin, and every time I have breakouts, I deal with a severe case of PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation). For me, my acne blemishes take forever to fade, so I upped my Vitamin C game, and started using more potent formulations of Vitamin C, that's when I stumbled upon Murad's Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum.
I really loved using this serum, as it was super effective, and really helped in resurfacing and brightening my overall skin tone. My old dark spots and acne blemishes started fading with every use. I thought the combination of Vitamin C with Glycolic Acid (AHA) would be disruptive for my skin, but it turned out to be a skin savior.
While this serum claims to be suitable for all skin types, those with extremely sensitive or dry skin must be very careful in using it, since it is a potent formula due to presence of Vitamin C and Glycolic Acid. It did cause some mild stinging in the beginning, but with regular use, my skin grew tolerance for it.
Even though this serum can be used daily in the AM & PM, I would recommend to start slow as your skin will need time to adjust. Please DO NOT use it on dry, flaky skin or open wounds, as it will sting bad and can potentially disrupt your skin barrier.
I'd recommend getting a sachet sample first to try & see if your skin can tolerate it.
May not be suitable for all skin types.
