This a review from someone with a mixed and quite resilient skin type. For one from a person with dry/sensitive skin (and cool facts about ingredients!) have a look at the review posted by skincarekitten! When I got this overnight mask I wondered why it‘s called „Voicemail“ - if you ask yourself the same: Niod describes it as a product „that fights many of the signs associated with impaired cellular communication“. To be honest: I have no idea about cellular communication so I can‘t tell you if that product got my skin cells talking. BUT it surely got me talking as you can see, so here we go: 💚 PACKAGING 💚 Niod kept it simple with this little glass bottle. I think it looks quite elegant and of course I prefer glass over plastic. The shape of the bottle makes it easy to decant the mask, so I don't use a spatula for this but just pour some of it on my hand. 💚 TEXTURE, LOOK, SMELL 💚 The smell is actually the first thing you wilö notice about it. It‘s a really strong herbal-earthy smell with some sweetness, almost medical. I like this but it‘s surely not for everyone (it sends my partner running). The mask itself comes in the form of a thick, dark amber liquid. This is defintely not a cream or a gel, but also not runny enough to escape your face. It‘s easy to distribute and you only need a small amount of product per use. 💚 USAGE 💚 This product likes to be the star of your PM routine! Niod advises you to use it only with a light serum beneath. I put it on quite early in the evening so that my skin gets some time to absorb as much as possible before going to bed and rubbing too much of it into the towel that you should *definetely* put under your face. Side note: if you‘ve got light skin, this will give you a nice ex-US-presidential look 😉 💚 RESULT 💚 I‘m always excited to wash it off the next morning because my skin feels so great afterwards! It‘s super soft and also a little glowy. It noticed that it makes my skin appear smoother and my pores look smaller. As I said: I don't know if my skin cells have some deep meaningful talks at night when I use this mask. But I like how my skin feels the next day!
