However, their production slows down as we age and we need to intervene. Ceramides bond with skin cells to create a barrier on the skin’s surface to prevent moisture loss and plump skin with hydration. 💛TheGoodCera line by @holikaholika_official is dedicated to ceramides. This formula is hypoallergenic, restores skin-fat balance and saturates skin with vitamins & minerals. If you suffer from any irritation, you can use either this moisturiser or the balm (for more immediate results, relief and soothing, but much waxier) and feel relieved. The brand advises it be used in cold seasons, because it is way too rich. In the first week of use, I found it a little sticky and felt as if it attracted all the dust onto my face. It really works much better if you apply this over a layer of your favourite mist or essence. Gradually, I built tolerance and now my epidermis feels much more elastic and soft, especially in the jaw line and forehead (which I have been torturing for years with my facial expressions and grimaces) without the sticky sensation. The product has an acidity of pH 5.5, the optimal level of skin moisture. It also contains shea butter to soften skin, boost collagen production and smooth some fine wrinkles. The texture is slightly waxy, without clogging your pores. You will just feel that you filled some gaps there, that after your great routine, you add this final step and lock everything precious in.
