The cream is huge hydration bomb on the skin. The texture is very interesting because upon initial contact it's a cool burst of hydration, afterwchich it becomes a thick gel balmy cream. You can feel the thickness when you start to spread but regardless it was not difficult to apply all over the face. It dries down slightly dewy. The brand says that this can be used as a makeup base and I agree with this claim. Because of the silicones in this product, the cream was able to provide a smooth base for my makeup to sit on. I did not experience any pilling with this. I like to use this in combination with mattifying foundations or base products. I find that its hydrating properties were able to offset the dryness that I will experience from the products I use after it. I recommend to use this primer if you skin feels dry, dehydrated or if you have mature skin.
