I have really acne prone skin, and I recently got a tretinoin prescription for my acne. I've been using it once every 3 days over my moisturizer and I find that my skin is flaky, dry, and itchy. 

I've tried using occlusives before but found that a lot of them broke me out. Some of my triggers are shea butter (at a high concentration, I can use products if shea butter is lower on the ingredient list), petrolatum, some fatty acids (Lauric acid, stearic acid, palmitic acid, and myristic acid). 

I know that some people with acne prone skin use gel-like sleeping packs like the cosrx propolis overnight mask and the abib probiotics overnight mask. 

So does anyone have any occlusive moisturizer/sleeping pack recommendations for acne prone skin? Without actives.

I've been wanting to buy this cleansing oil for some time now since its 500ml. I hatteee repurchasing cleansing oil so I was happy to find a huge size. My only issue is that I can barely find reviews online for this. Its the kumano cosme reihaku hatomugi cleansing oil in 500ml (!!!!)
 Have any of you guys tried it and what do you think of it?
I cant find it on picky either so I won't be able to review it 😫

Finish 🍰: you need a mirror to apply this, it gets messy. Unless you're applying it by dabbing it or applying with your finger, then its likely to be messy. When I apply it with the stick, it gets on the outside of my lip line. This isn't that much of an issue for me, I think that its just natural for this to happen with more pigmented products. 

The color is my main issue with this. I have two toned lips and tan skin and from the swatches on the website, I was expecting more of a reddish brown, but it looks more like a dark red with some coral, it pulls super warm toned on me. I dislike it, but its tolerable if I only apply a little bit, if I apply too much then the coral really starts to pop out. It doesn't look coral on my cheeks, it looks like a normal darker red. 

Experience 🍰: what really sold this product for me was the finish. Its shiny/watery. It doesn't look thick and glossy, it has a jelly-like and watery finish. This is a finish that I didn't even know I'd want. I was always into glossy and thick lip products but this is completely changing the game for me. 

I also use this as a blush, its slightly hard to blend, but thats expected from a lipstick. It also feels kind of sticky on my cheeks when used as a blush, but it doesn't feel sticky on my lips. The stickiness doesn't bother me at all. I have acne prone skin and it doesn't break me out, but i also don't use a lot for my blush. 

I want to buy another shade of this lipstick because I like it soo much. 

Texture 🍰: it has a jelly-like texture. I'm in love with this texture, i didn't know lipsticks could feels like this. I always had super stiff and structured lipsticks that had a natural finish, but this is soft. It is one of those products that will break if you twist too much out and use it, but it is retractable so that's nice. 

Finish 🍰: the finish is super shiny. Almost watery. I love this finish. It does have a jelly like finish too, but it doesn't look thick like a lip gloss or cakey like a waxy lipstick. 

Amount 🍰: I got it from the website on sale, but it retails for 20 dollars. I don't think this is that expensive for lipstick either, especially because flower knows has regular sales. 

I've been using it on and off since I bought it in November 2023, and I'm 3/4 finished with it. 

Its a deep red shade. The first thing I noticed. I feel like I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. The texture is slightly firm, like its not runny. But its very lightweight. Not sure how they made the texture like this, but i like it a lot!! 

The ingredients look awesome!! It has all 4 active cica components: asiatic acid, asiaticoside,madecassic acid, and madecassoside!! This is super good for soothing. It also contains panthenol and ceramides for extra barrier repair. The star ingredient is actual dragons blood. From my research, dragons blood is good for wound healing and has antioxidant benefits. I think this is a really good ingredient list because it has the spicules and then a bunch of soothing ingredients to help. 

When I first applied it, I noticed burning and stinging. My skin was also red for a while after using. But I applied it on active acne and woke up the next morning and the acne was gone.  Crazy how fast it worked. I really like this product. 


Experience 🍰: I didn't have a good experience with this moisturizer because it broke me out. I tested it out for around 1-2 weeks and slowly noticed closed comedones popping up on my cheeks, I initially didn't think this product was the culprit so I waited it out until eventually I lost patience and stopped using this product and my acne went away. I don't know which ingredient caused it.

Texture 🍰: this texture is AMAZING!!! its a light gel texture that's really watery. It rubs in very easily and leaves the skin hydrated. Its not a runny gel, it definitely holds its structure but it still manages to be watery and light once rubbed in. 

Finish 🍰: its definitely doesn't have a matte finish but its not a natural finish either. It's slightly dewy and doesn't leave any streakieness at all, literally once applied to the skin it turns into a clear gel even though its translucent when squeezed out of the tube. 

Amount 🍰: one of the selling points for me and this product was the cost and amount. Its 175ml (5.91oz) for around 10 USD, which is even a steal for most moisturizers coz most moisturizers I see are 50ml for around 15 USD. It is marketed as a face and body lotion which explains the huge size and cheap price but I only ever used it on my face, neck, and chest. 

Ingredients 🍰: this is alcohol and fragrance free. It also contains glycerin, squalane, betaine, ceramide 3, and vitamin e which are all good for hydration and moisturization. The ingredient list is also minimal which makes it good for sensitive and acne prone skin. 

Overall 🍰: I put 4 stars despite breaking out with this product because i genuinely feel like this product is just that good. From the ingredients, to the texture and finish and price + amount you get for the price...I just think its a super solid moisturizer that can be a lot of peoples hg.

I think the shade is too light for my two toned lips. It looks really weird against m tan skin tone too. 

Just a disclaimer -- I don't like matte lippies. 

I like this product because it's easily blendable and doesn't disappear. I also use it exclusively as a blush because its too light for my lips. Its a pretty generic red shade on my tan skin tone. 

It also smells like hot chocolate to me, which I think is a plus. 

I think its definitely worth a try because the formula is nice, if you are someone who likes matte lip products then this is worth a shot. 

Experience ☆☆☆☆ 

Taking one star off because of the learning curve. This does look ashy if you have medium tan skin like me, but it can look cute if you use a Puff or blender to blend it in, rather than fingers or a brush. For people with a deep skin tone, I don't know if this would not look ashy. 

I have acne prone skin and it does not break me out.

The reason I took some stars off is because of the high content of titanium dioxide, which is what is causing the ashy look. Maybe that is what was meant by this blush,  like maybe it is meant to look ashy as some sort of tone up effect? 

Usually oils in products break me out, this has a couple of oils and I never broke out from it. 

Texture + finish ☆☆☆☆☆ 

The texture is a rich cream texture. Typical of a cream blush. 

The finish is a natural finish. I hate cream blushes that have a matte finish, but this isn't one of them. Its not an overly dewy finish either. It's like a skin finish. 

Amount ☆☆☆☆ 

The amount is 3.5g and the price ranges from ~5~18USD. Literally don't buy this for over 10usd. I think it's worth it but it's on yesstyle for 7usd (which is where I bought it from), don't pay more than you need to.
