Recently I have been having issues with my acne, mainly on my forehead, and have been trying to add onto/alter my skincare routine to better suit it accoring to what I’ve seen online, but over the last week and a half, I haven’t seen too much change.

I use the CeraVe SA Renewing Cleanser and Hydrating Facial Cleanser (double cleanse) in the shower and (once I get out) follow with the CosRX Snail Mucin Essence, SheaMoisture Vitamin C & Papaya Oil, then end off with The Ordinary Moisturizer.

Acne Trouble

I currently use SheaMoisture Vitamin C & Papaya extract as my Vitamin C oil and am looking to find something that would suit my oily, acne prone skin a bit better. Any suggestions?

Vitamin C ?

It takes a while too fully absorb into the skin and will sometimes leave your skin shiny

First and foremost, this product was extremely soothing and kept my skin moisturized throughout the day. It was relatively light so it didn’t clog my pores, even as the weather begins to heat up. 

Ive only been using it for about two weeks but I have noticed that my skin has become much softer and “bouncy”

Nothing really bad to say, the product does have Glycerin, which may not be the best if you have a drier skin type, but overall not bad. Nothing too crazy but worth a try!

It gave my skin a sort of refreshed feeling that kept my skin hydrated, especially in combination with my moisturizer.

It works well on your body too, it helped me get rid of the acne on my shoulders!

It does sting a bit when you first begin to use if but after a while it doesn’t hurt as much.

I’t sure where to start, but here’s a little list to break down the positives
  • Not too expensive, especially for how well it works
  • Helps clear & prevent breakous 
  • AHAs and BHAs!!!

The lather wasn’t that great but that doesn’t bother me much

Within about 2 weeks I noticed significant improvement in my acne, especially on my forehead, as it was able to progressively clear my skin. Unlike other acne treatments, though, it was gentle and didnt irritate any areas of my skin. Definitely would recommend!

Although I didn’t have any issues with it, I do have oily skin and feel like those with more dry/sensitive skin may have issues, but not too sure. 

Its a pretty all around cleanser that didn’t irritate or dry out my skin

Worked well with my double-cleansing routine in combination with a any non-salicylic acid cleanser.
