I’m slightly mortified to admit that I’ve never worn a standalone sunscreen outside of going to the beach. I want to incorporate one into my routine that I can wear under my makeup. What would you recommend for combination/oily skin that won’t clog my pores but will keep me safe from the sun when I go outside?

Hi, all! I am looking for an effective Vitamin C that ALSO smells nice. I had previously been using Paula’s Choice but I cannot get over the “hot dog water” smell that comes along with the ferulic acid. 

I would much prefer to use a product with a pleasant scent even if it reduces the efficacy of the product slightly. 

Do any of you have a favorite product with a more refreshing scent than......hot dog? 😂

Vitamin C Recommendations

Hi! I am in several Facebook groups that rave about using something called the Nuderma, which is some kind of high frequency wand you use on your skin. Do any of you have experience with this device or something similar? I have a lot of hormonal acne and am wondering if this is something that might be able to keep it at bay?

If you use something like this, what products do you use along with it?

It did tingle a bit the first few times I used it, so if you aren’t familiar or used to using acids, this might take some time to get used to.

First off, it’s like unboxing an iPhone. Gorgeous packaging. After pulling it out, and squeezing it into my palm, I was hit with a pleasant lemongrass scent. I need a perfume that smells like this. 

As advertised, it gets to work almost immediately! My skin feels so much softer and smoother after two weeks of application. I have a slight glow to my face shortly after applying, and didn’t notice any issues with drying out even though I have combination and acne prone skin.

All in all, a solid product that I am so excited to have introduced to my routine. 10&#47;10!

It is thin, as all toners are. It’s unscented and I usually prefer a slight scent but that’s not a dealbreaker for me! It can be a little drying at times but also not a dealbreaker as it is not the final step in my routine.

This toner is fantastic for my oily skin and does provide a nice brightening effect. It was great at helpjng to get off anything I may have missed after cleansing when I use it on a cotton pad. I was lucky enough to get this as part of a $5 set with a full size and two mini toners from CosRx and will definitely be repurchasing!

I don’t like that thiw product has a dropper rather than a pump. I do feel it would be easier to apply otherwise.

This is my first retinoid, and I feel confident using it on my oily skin in the evenings. I like the thick texture and do not have any issues of feeling sticky after application. It has improved the texture of my skin.

The texture is slightly “goopy”&#47;slimy, but I think this is what causes the mask to not dry, so it is only a minor annoyance that is outweighed by the benefits and overall experience of the mask.

❄️ After washing the mask off, my face feels refreshingly cool (almost minty), and I can feel a firming effect. 

All in all, I really love this mask and use it as a weekly treatment during my self care day! It’s the perfect luxurious treat on my weekends.

It was confusing at first figuring our how to correctly dispense the product. It clocks in at $120 which makes it difficult to think about repurchasing if on a budget.

The packaging is luxe and the mirror like finish around the bottle is a beautiful touch. I did originally twist off the whole cap before realizing that the top pops off to reveal a push down mechanism to dispense the product. This is a great way to keep germs out! 

It is very lightly scented, but it’s a beautiful, delicate, fresh scent. I did not find it to be oily on my skin at all, and it felt smooth and supple after application. After several hours of wear, my skin still feels moisturized. I feel that this will be a great product for any time of day and any skin type. 

This will definitely become a regular part of my daily routine.
