Have you tried the Revive Eye Serum with Ginseng and Retinal?  If so, did it help soften/ reduce fine lines? I’ve heard good reviews so am going to give it a try. The price is very affordable too. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 it works for me! 😊

The blush can look patchy or lift products underneath if you try to blend it out using a buffing motion.


I am a huge fan of this blush, because it’s long wearing and uses the same formula as the original Blurring Balm Powder, which smooths texture, blurs the skin and transforms from a creamy balm into a soft matte powder finish after application. It’s available in 7 different colours and retails for £27.  The shade Jubilee is a beautiful, rich terracotta brown which is flattering on different complexions and suitable for both casual daytime or glam evening looks.

Application:

This blush can be applied with fingers, a brush or a damp Beauty Blender, depending on personal preference.

I like applying this blush with my fingers or a synthetic brush, my favourite being the
Danessa Myricks Yuumy 1.0 brush because it’s soft with just the right amount of firmness. It’s also angled with a flat base, which allows for a precise, even application of colour and blends the product so it looks flawless. However, the medium, domed Zoeva 110 Face Shape brush and the large domed Sonia G Fusion Classic Face brush also work well. 

Initially, I tried to blend the blush out using a buffing motion, as I do with powder blushes, but that technique lifted the product underneath and made the coverage look uneven. However, when I switched to using a patting motion that didn’t occur.

Once I had the right technique I was able to achieve the optimum finish with this blush, and it was easy to build intensity with even, opaque coverage, that looked smooth, blurred and well blended, with a soft matte finish.

There’s nothing I dislike about this high end luxury eyeshadow palette.

This is a perfect palette for anyone who prefers a more subdued colour story. I reach for this often because it’s just so easy to create pretty, wearable looks for daytime. Simple looks can then be amped up using the 4 special shades on the right hand side, to add dimension and sparkle to the eye lids. Unfortunately, my camera phone didn’t pick up the multi-chrome finishes of VR Rose Venus & Iridescent Pink 003, but in person they’re gorgeous! 
This palette is a must have if you love soft glam eye makeup and it’s also a great option for bridal looks.

I didn’t notice any improvement to brightness of my skin during the two week trial period, it may be necessary to test it for a longer period.  I disliked that it left my skin feeling drier than usual if worn without my usual daily moisturiser underneath, which felt uncomfortable.

Pros:
I liked the bright yellow and white coloured packaging, which was also sleek and practical. The product has a pleasant light fragrance that didn’t cause any irritation to sensitive skin.  I also liked that it contains vitamin c, UV protection, feels lightweight and absorbs into the skin without leaving a white caste.



Cons:
- Brighter shades like Elson are often “sold out” and take a while to be restocked 

I love a good matte lipstick formula and @PatMcgrathlabs LiquiLust does not disappoint.  

I’ve been using the shade, Divine Rose paired with a brown lip liner and find it to be a flattering and versatile neutral shade for everyday wear.  

It’s a very pigmented, long wearing and smudge-proof liquid matte, with a smooth creamy texture, that doesn’t leave the lips feeling dried out.  I particularly like the slightly angled shape of the doe foot applicator, as it makes it easy to apply the product with more precision to the corners and edges of the lips. Another bonus is that it’s easy to achieve even, opaque coverage using a minimal amount of product.

There’s nothing I dislike about this eyeshadow palette.

I love using this palette because it’s a ball of fun to create looks with due to its bold, eye catching jewel tones and variety of finishes.

Ease of use & versatility: 
There’s something extra magical that happens with some of the pigments when they’re layered on top of one another or a black base. For example, Blitz Amethyst is stunning as it is but transforms into an intense, striking blue multichrome with a purple, pink shift, when layered over a black base.  I love that it’s also possible to create easy smokey eyes and wearable everyday looks b/c of the rich mattes, satins and shimmers.  For a daytime look I like to blend Deep Shade into the crease and outer V; add Lazurus onto the lid; followed by a tiny bit of Xtreme Black blended onto the outer V for additional smokiness and Dark Star Mascara to finish.  The whole palette is stunning but for me the standout shades are Gigabyte, Blitz Amethyst, Nightshade & Black Metal.

Finishes & Application tips:
I find that the quality of the pigments and different formulas to be consistent with other PMG palettes, big and small.  The mattes are easy to blend, but highly pigmented, so best applied with a light hand and built up gradually. I find natural hair brushes to give optimum results when applying and blending the mattes, which have a smooth buttery texture.

The 4 “special” shades can be used to add dimension, and along with the shimmers and metallics have more opacity when applied with a finger or flat shader brush spritzed with Mac Fix+. To amplify the pigments, create a more foiled effect and increase adherence: glitter glue, Mehron mixing medium or the PMG IntensifEyes wand also work brilliantly.
