Rave me your go to lip routine/treatments please! 

Between the heat, the wildfire smoke (yay Canadian summers 😭) and my general allergies.. my lips are needing some serious TLC.

I use lip balms and masks every night but it just isnt helping.  

I Exfoliate my lips 2 to 3 times a week and use lip balm as often as i can.   

Ive also taken note of what James Welsh does and ill often use my skincare on my lips aswell, especially the super hydrating layers. 

Clearly something isnt working,  so lemme hear what you lovelies use! 💕🥰💜😊

Dry, chapped, SAD lips 😭👄

Step 0 - Zero Cleanser
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 

What I liked:
Nice rich texture
Foaming without drying
Fresh scent 

What I didnt like:
No complaints 

Step 1 - First Toner
⭐⭐⭐ 

What I liked:
Lightweight
Non sticky
Fast absorbing 
Hydrating 

What I didn't like:
I didn't notice any real results after using this


Step 2 - Double Serum 
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 

What I liked:
This was my favorite step in the routine 
Left skin feeling hydrated, soft and smooth
Great scent without being overwhelming 
Very lightweight 

What I didn't like:
Nothing! 
Would definitely purchase


Step 3 - Triple Cream 
⭐⭐ 

What I liked:
Lightweight. 

What I didnt like:
Strange texture.   Gel with almost chunks in it
Left my skin feeling tacky
Skin felt heavy the next morning. 


Overall thoughts: 

This was a super easy routine.   My skin reacted well to it even if i didnt see any major improvements.  My skin was hydrated and I really loved the serum.   The cleanser while basic - worked great even as a second cleanse.  Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the  step 3 cream - Instill think I would work great for those with dry or dehydrated skin.

Even though its still Summer here, Im curious what some of your go to moisturizers for Winter are! 

I have combination skin (oily T Zone and drier cheeks) and I definitely notice a difference in my skin during the winter.   Being in Canada we can get some pretty extreme cold and dry conditions.   

Id love to find one that's got ceramides, hyaluronic acids, peptides etc. 💕

I dont mind heavier moisturizers at night but would like to find one that is more of an in between for daytime.

Winterizing your Moisturizer ❄

So.  A bit of a back story.  I recently turned 38.  Mom of two under 4.   Off and on skin care routines and avid sunscreen user for a consistent 3 years.   Im realizing that my younger years of not wearing sunscreen or washing my make up off really has taken a toll on my skin.   My genetics are also against me when it comes to pore size and droopiness.   So. My question (realizing its THE question that most people ask) is... 

Is it too late to turn it around and repair/refresh my skin? 

My routine currently consists mostly of an evening routine due to my mornings being taken over by my toddlers 😅😅

Below is what I use.  I do wear and reapply sunscreen primarily in the spring/summer months due to living where its dark and gray during the winter. 

Am i overdoing it? 
Should I focus on just using retinol? 
Am I missing something? 
Am I just stuck with looking old?! Lol.

💜 Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Review 🌿🌱

My only issue with this so far has been the scent - and not even in a negative way.  If you dont mind your products having a smell, I wouldnt say this is fragranced.   Its very natural smelling, but its fairly strong.   I dont mind it, but I think Ive come to prefer less fragranced products as of late.   


This was my first time using bakuchiol and I have to say my skin so far is loving it.   Unlike my past experiences with retinol, I didnt have any sensitivity issues. This night cream is the perfect texture for my skin.  It feels like a night cream should without feeling too heavy.  **UPDATED** 
 After having used this one now for a couple of months but skins texture looks improved,  still no issues with sensitivity or redness.  It layers so well with sleep packs and the rest of my routine.   This is a great retinol alternative for anyone who is hesitant to try.   Definitely a must try 🥰


Honestly I cant think of anything negative about this wash.  The little granules don't always dissolve all the way and can be kind of rough against the skin, but I feel like that could be user error at times as well. 🙈

This was my first experience using a powdered face wash and I have to say Im obsessed.  These tiny little granules lather into this beautifully soft foam that doesnt strip your skin when rinsed.   I mostly use this as my step 2 when I double cleanse, but I also find it gentle enough to use every day.   It has a very faint scent that reminds me of fresh laundry.  Not over powering at all.   A little bit goes a long way, so this bottle will last quite a while.   When I do eventually get through it, I will most definitely be repurchasing.   🥰

It does tend to go a bit cloudy over the eyes but it goes away relatively quickly.   

This balm melts into the creamiest cleanser I've ever used.   It emulsifies easily and rinses away most of your make up.  When paired with a second cleanser it works wonderfully as a double cleanse first step.  It has a fresh scent that isnt overpowering.  A little bit goes a long way, so the larger tub lasts forever which is nice.   It comes with its own little scoop to get the proper amount of product out with ease.   I found my skin to be super soft after using this.  It doesnt strip the skin especially in the summer when Im using a lot of sunscreen and am double cleansing every day.  

I cant say I have many negative things to say about this one honestly.   My skin seems to like it.   Im not sure if i will see definite results lpng term but Im happy with it so far.  

This was my first time trying both the brand and any product containing Licorice.   As a candy lover (black Licorice to be exact 🙈) i was excited at the thought! Yes, i know the two aren't related but its fun to dream.   Back to the product: 

This serum has a lovely texture.  Its heavier than water but still super lightweight.   Absorbs nicely and doesnt cause issues when layering with the rest of my routine.    My skin does weird things in the warmer months and this serum really seemed to help keep redness and unevenness at bay.   My skin feels soft, moisturized and generally happier.    

I usually use the damp skin approach when doing my routine and when I was using this ampoule I noticed if I didnt allow enough time between it and the toner, that there was a slight lather like texture to the ampoule.  It eventually absorbs, but definitely something to note if you apply your steps to damp skin.  Other than that i don&#39;t have any complaints.

The Madagascar Centella Ampoule is still one of the best ampoules for an every day routine.  My skin is fairly sensitive and during the winter months, is dry to combination.   This amouple is calming to the skin, gentle and helps to maintain moisture and reduce redness.   Its a definite must have for my winter routine.  I use this in both my evening and morning routine.  It is water thin but I do find It can tend to get a bit sticky if too much is used.  Its fragrance free which is nice (but not a necessary thing for me)  I love everything about this ampoule,  I have used it in combination with the Madagascar Centella Toning Toner as well and was equally as happy with it.   If you have sensitive skin, this is a must try.
