Idk I don’t want to rant here or make it seem like I’m complaining (it probably will sound like that anyways) but I haven’t won a single giveaway the past three weeks even though previously,  I used to win often. It’s okay anyways because I got skincare stuff to use up but I was really eyeing on that Anua giveaway 🫠 Congrats to everyone who won though!

Nothing much of a big concern, rather just curious. Did the number of points to enter giveaways decrease? Or is my app glitching? Either way, it’s such a nice surprise.

I recently received an email from Picky on looking at a video I created and I’m shocked at the audacity they said I “reposted” the video? I made two different videos for my Innisfree giveaway, and went to double check if what they were saying was true or not and it’s NOT! I never do reposts so I’m so shocked Picky is alleging me for something I’ve never done. I even posted two different videos on this page and TikTok, so it’s clear to me I made different content for each, especially one that is half the duration of the first one. The background is different too, one doesn’t have a fluffy pick rug and a vase in the background. I find this sooooo unprofessional on their part!

Picky Just Assumed I Reposted?!

Guys! I feel so sorry for bothering the Picky team constantly but I had several issues and haven’t heard back from the company (package sent to some random state, not receiving some of the giveaways I’ve won, etc.). I’ve emailed quite a few times the last month and never got a response to any of the emails. Is this normal? I usually remember getting a response as quickly as in 24-48 hours but now I’m genuinely concerned.

My love for this cream is still going strong, as I’m about to enter my 9th month on this. It has solidified itself as an integral part of my skincare routine since March, and I don’t plan on changing it anytime soon. This literally fits the definition of “if it works for you, stick with it”. 

I don’t have acne marks as visible anymore, just mainly a few freckles (that I had since birth). This has prevented most of the new pimples from coming in. I did have a giant pimple around the month of August when I didn’t use this for a week (switched to another cream temporarily due to vacation) — so I noticed that I should just stick with this cream as long as it works for me.

I'm now entering my seventh month of using this cream, and my opinion hasn’t changed at all. Looking back at the condition of my skin just half a year ago, I feel so grateful for this product. I remember in 2023, my aunt gave me unsolicited advice about my skin, which really annoyed me because I had just moved and my skin was under a lot of stress. Fast forward a few months into 2024, and my skin has mostly cleared up. The unsolicited advice has also stopped!

🩵UPDATE AUGUST 2024 - Update to the 3 month update I gave in July 2024

I’ve already raved about this product and shared my three-month update, and now I’m onto month four. I can confidently testify that my love for this hasn’t changed one bit. This is the one product I can wholeheartedly recommend from this app. I’ve even recommended it to some of my family members and friends who struggle with stubborn minor acne, and they’ve told me they love it as much as I do.

What makes this product so special is its consistency in delivering results over time. Even after four months, it continues to keep my skin clear and smooth, without any signs of irritation or diminishing effectiveness. I genuinely believe this is a game-changer for anyone dealing with similar skin concerns.

🧡UPDATE JULY 2024 - After 3 months of testing!!!

I’m glad to have won another giveaway for this! Having a couple of months of experience on this cream, I can give my finalized opinion of this product as I’ve already finished one jar and am starting another one. 

This is probably going to be the product of the year for me. I did not expect to love this so much as I currently do. The way this has fade most of my acne marks is unreal, and I cannot thank the brand enough for making such a great product. Besides winning the giveaways, I’ve bought a few to stay well stocked of this product. 

I’m doing a deep dive into details that I noticed while using this product for the last three months:

🌱 Besides it clearing up old acne spots and marks, this has been very helpful in keeping new pimples at bay. I try not to steer away from this particular moisturizer, because when I do, my skin doesn’t respond as positively.

🌱 Whenever I get (a few) new pimples, I literally put this on for the night. I’ve noticed that within a day or two, those new pimples completely disappear. I don’t know what it is, but in a way, this works like my pimple patches, except better. I can attribute it to the science of this formulation.

🌱 I’ve mentioned before that I have acne prone combination skin. While this kept my acne at bay, it simultaneously repaired my skin barrier and kept it well hydrated, even if I forgot to put this moisturizer the following day. 

🌱 This has a cooling sensation so when applying this on puffy skin (which I have on some mornings), it immediately cools and soothes the skin. I feel that this moisturizer really lives up to its name.

🌱As someone with combination skin, I avoid products that leave my skin feeling greasy or such. This does not do any of that. I actually would argue that the texture of this cream is best suited for oilier skin types as it’s light without causing a grease-like effect, but heavy enough to hydrate the skin fully. It absorbs pretty well and doesn’t add “weight” feeling to the face. 

🌱 I used to have a slightly more textured skin before using this. I would feel a little bumps here and there and I felt it could use improvement. Funnily enough, while using this for the last three months, I just noticed my skin is a lot smoother and the texture is gone. I would some days go without my skincare routine, but the one thing I did try not to miss was this particular cream. I attribute a lot of my skin improvements to this cream.

Overall, this will always stay a solid 5/5 for me. I hope the formulation never changes.

With that being said, let’s dive into what I thought of this product!

🌱 As someone with acne prone skin, this product particularly interested me. I saw so many tiktok videos talking about this product so I was really excited to be given the opportunity to try this. 

🌱 This product claims to target skincare issues such as redness, blemishes, irritation as well as hydrate and brighten the skin. 

🌱 Key ingredients support the claims. Niacinamide is an ingredient I sought after in my skincare so I was pleased to see this ingredient near the top of the list. It also contains Centella asiatica extract, which is proven to help with soothing and reducing redness of the skin. It also helps with evening out the skintone. 

🌱 I’m currently using this in my rotation because through the few days I’ve used this, I’ve seen some improvements in my skin already. 

🌱 The smell of this is light and very refreshing. It is an added bonus that this has a very clean smell with no fragrance. This is perfectly suitable for those with sensitive skin. 

🌱 I rate this a 10/10 so far. No stinging feel, reduces appearance of dark spots, and actually reduces the redness in my face. I feel that this actually works in targeting the skin issues I had. I still have to continue this for some time to give whether the final verdict is 10/10 or not.

My previous review and opinion remains intact towards this serum, and I’d like to add a few additional positives that made me like this even more!

A Bit of Background on Dear Klairs’ Maple Energy Infusing Serum:
- A goopy yet non-sticky serum
- Contains 30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz.
- Purpose: To deeply nourish and moisturize the skin and leave a dewy, bouncy glow

I’d like to compare this to the mixsoon bean essence as that is the closest product I can find for comparison to this, and I thought I would swear on the mixsoon bean essence but that has changed for me. This one blows the mixsoon bean essence out of the park and I find that this works better for my skin type (oily/combo skin). So for this review, I’ll be using the overhyped Mixsoon bean essence as a point of reference.

Here are some of the reasons I’d rate this a 5/5—possibly even higher if I could break the scale (and I’m NOT one to gloss over brands just because I got it for free; my criticism knows no bounds):

🍂 Ingredients Comparison: The ingredient lists between the Mixsoon Bean Essence and Dear Klairs Maple Energy Infusing Serum are vastly different—Mixsoon has only four ingredients. Surprisingly, I prefer the longer list in Dear Klairs because I want preservatives to ensure product longevity. “All-natural” ingredients aren’t a priority for me here; I save that focus for my diet.

🍂 Clean Ingredient Profile: Despite the longer ingredient list, Dear Klairs contains zero unwanted additives, making it superior to most other serums I’ve tried.

🍂 Shelf Life and Scent: While this serum has no added fragrances, it still smells noticeably better. I’ve used it for just over a month, while I used Mixsoon for six months. By the third month, Mixsoon started smelling odd, likely due to its lack of preservatives. So, Dear Klairs wins this category.

🍂 Immediate Glow: I love how the Maple Energy Infusing Serum leaves a healthy glow, brightening my skin immediately after use—something Mixsoon doesn’t offer.

 🍂 Consistency: Both have similar textures, though Mixsoon is a bit more watery and feels slightly goopy upon application, drying down to a matte finish. Dear Klairs, in contrast, is a touch less goopy and dries to a dewy finish, which I prefer as it enhances the look of my makeup.

Overall, I love this serum and am grateful for the chance to try it, thanks to Dear Klairs!

Lowkey, I don’t think I’ve ever obsessed over a serum until I came across this one. From the packaging to the formulation, it hits all the right notes. I’m so thankful to Picky and Dear Klairs for sending me this beautiful item.

The Dear Klairs Maple Energy Infusing Serum is designed to deeply hydrate and nourish your skin while maintaining its bounce. It's a great choice for those looking to prevent premature wrinkles and aging, keeping their skin youthful and vibrant.

Here are some of the reasons I’m obsessed with this serum:

🍁 Have you seen the packaging?! I wasn’t expecting it to feel or look so luxurious until I held it in my hands. It has a nice weight, and the matte closure is stunning.

🍁 The formulation is one of a kind. It may look sticky, but trust me, it’s not. It feels a bit goopy when you dispense it, but once applied, it dries down to a non-sticky, dewy finish.

🍁 This serum is packed with skincare goodies and contains absolutely zero icky ingredients. Some of the standout ingredients include:
	⁃	Glycerin (moisturizing)
	⁃	Betaine (moisturizing)
	⁃	Squalane (emollient)
	⁃	Shea Butter (emollient)
	⁃	Mango Seed Butter (emollient)
	⁃	Adenosine (cell-communicating)
	⁃	Rutin (antioxidant)
	⁃	Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and 7 (cell-communicating)

From the ingredient list, you can already tell it works on a cellular level to hydrate and repair your skin.

🍁 As someone with a sensitive nose, I didn’t notice any scent.
Overall, I’d give this a solid 5/5.


I noticed this contains fragrance but they’re sourced from natural botanical extracts. This personally does not bother me. This isn’t even a con for me, I’m just warning you guys in case you prefer fragrance free products. 

The only reason I removed 0.2 stars was for the slight tackiness post application (I prefer no tackiness at all) but it goes away fairly quickly (about a minute at most).

Other than that, there were NO cons for me. 

I actually don’t believe neck creams do much - or so I used to think. I believe the creams I used from the American market didn’t work well enough for me. Which precisely makes a better reason to why I prefer Asian based skincare over Western skin care. 

This neck cream wasn’t the magic potion, but it did work way better than I expected. I have used it for a week, and as someone who’s in her mid to late twenties, I decided it was time to get into neck care. 

The C-K-D Retino Collagen Guasha Neck Cream performed better in most ways for me, which is why I rate it a 4.8/5 stars. Let’s get into some of the pros:

🎀 This contains retinal. If you know the difference between retinol and retinal, you know retinal is by far superior. It is the more potent form of retinol. I will say though, you need to make sure your neck is wet when using this so it can work at the max efficiency level. 

🎀 The scent of this is lemongrass. I LOVE citrusy smells so this was a win in the fragrance area for me. 

🎀 The application was watery and light. It had a slight stickiness that went away in a few minutes after applying it on my neck. 

🎀It contributes to a smoother neck after a few weeks of use, which is pretty fast.

❎ I didn’t see any difference in my face after one week of using this.

❎ The mugwort ingredient is pretty low on the list, which means this doesn’t have as much mugwort concentrate as one would think.


UPDATED REVIEW - JULY 29, 2024 
One Month Usage Update ‼️

I’ve already tried the Meditherapy Mugwort Super Calming Toner and mentioned I wasn’t the biggest fan of this. After trying for about a month, I conclude that this isn’t for me. I’d recommend it though, if you’re just starting out skincare. 

I’d like to thank @Picky Shop: @Meditherapy US Official for sending me this in exchange for my honest opinion. 

✅ I liked that this didn’t leave me with any side effects, despite not liking this as much. 

✅ This is meant for skin that is extremely sensitive. I don’t have super sensitive skin, but if your skin fits the bill, I’d recommend it for you. 

✅ I give this an overall rating of 3/5. It’s calming but that’s about the only benefit it brings. As a seasoned skincare user, I usually prefer skincare options that can provide more benefits. 

❌ I didn’t like how low the concentration of mugwort was in this. This may contribute to why I wasn’t seeing improvements on my skin. Mugwort is known to have multiple benefits, but if I want to see those benefits, I’d need to get a toner with higher mugwort concentration.

Here’s to another Meditherapy product review - the Mugwort Super Calming Toner. I was interested in trying this, knowing that mugwort has benefits to it. I decided to give this a try. After a week of trying it out, I can say that I haven’t really seen much of a difference in my face.

Here’s an overview of what I thought of this product:

🌳 The texture is as viscous as water - it’s very low. It makes application super easy after cleansing the face. 

🌳 It did not sting my face on application, and I have sensitive combination skin.

🌳 Though it does say mugwort in the name, the amount of mugwort concentration here is pretty low due to it being near the bottom of the ingredient list. I’ve tried other brands that contain mugwort, and thought this one wasn’t great as those.

🌳 I feel that this is an okay toner, not one I would reach for often.

I’d rate this a 3/5. It’s not great, but not bad either. This is very good for extremely sensitive skin type though, which I don’t have.

I haven’t experienced anything negative, so no cons. 

First time trying Dr.G RED Blemish Clear Quick Soothing Pads, and I can safely say, I like these. Because of my previous experience with the brand working well for my skin type, I had high expectations of these, and these didn’t disappoint. These pads work well for my skin. Let’s head dive into why I like these: 

💚 Contains 5-Cica Protection: Provides quick moisturizing and protection for my combination skin from the harsh environment. 

💚 Contains 89% Pennywort Extract: Helped with deeply hydrating and calming any irritation on my face. 

💚 Has an instant cooling effect: Felt like a mini spa treatment at home. It left my skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

💚 Easy to apply: The size of the pads are huge that they cover my cheeks in one go. 

💚 Soft Natural Fabric: The pads are made of a luxurious, soft fabric that feels gentle on my skin, making each use a pampering experience.

I rate these a 5/5.
