Sun Sticks That Didn’t Sting My Eyes
I’ve tried a lot of sunsticks, and some have made me cry. Here’s a list of those that did not. Note that we all react to ingredients differently, so you might have a different experience with these.

Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar SPF 50+
myskincarejrnl
The Airy Sunstick is an opaque sunstick that is water resistant for up to 80 mins. This makes it perfect for reapplying during summer. This product glides on so smoothly. Just based off of how it looks, I thought it would tug more on my skin, but it doesn’t do that at all! It also doesn’t leave a white cast on me, and has a semi-matte finish. I call it semi-matte because it’s not glowy, but it’s not too flat either. It deserves to be called “airy” because it doesn’t feel heavy on my face, even after 2 reapplications of 3-4 swipes each. It feels lightweight on my face, but if I do touch my face with my hands, I can feel the layers left by the product.

Quick Sunstick Protection Bar SPF50+ PA++++
myskincarejrnl
Lately I’ve been using the Abib Quick Sunstick Protection Bar SPF 50+ PA++++. I was somewhat skeptical at first, but my combination skin loves it! ❤️ Upon first application, it feels a bit greasy, but most sunsticks give that initial impression, and the feeling does go away after some time. It has a semi-dewy to natural finish, and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. It also doesn’t sting my eyes. Most importantly, it didn’t break me out. The weather here is quite cold and windy, and I think that my skin appreciates the extra layer of protection that this product provides. I don’t think I’ll like it as much in the summer. It costs around 13 GBP for 22g of product, which is around mid-range for a sunstick.

Aqua Soothing Sun Stick SPF50+PA++++
myskincarejrnl
The Aqua Soothing Sun Stick is the perfect companion for the sun lotion. It also has a cooling effect on the skin, and it’s convenient for reapplying sun protection while on the go. This sun stick glides on easily on my skin and also has a slight mint scent. It doesn’t feel greasy at all, and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin tone. This sun stick leaves my skin with a lightly dewy finish.

Hyaluronic Acid Airy Sun Stick SPF 50 PA++++
myskincarejrnl
This sun stick is unscented, and it has a natural finish. Even though it looks quite white and opaque as a solid, it doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. I can use it on my sensitive eye area without any stinging at all. I use 3-4 swipes per area on my face, but it doesn’t feel too heavy. Aside from sun protection, this sun stick also contains ingredients that are good for your skin like Niacinamide, Ceramide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, and even Aloe Vera extract.

Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Silky-fit Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++
myskincarejrnl
I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review. The sun stick deserves to be the twin sister of the viral Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. It applies easily on to my skin, but may need a bit of warming up before applying on to the face. It’s a bit waxy, like other sunsticks, but it’s not greasy at all. It also feels quite lightweight, and leaves a semi-matte to natural finish on my skin. It doesn’t leave a white cast.
