I discovered this white gel spf50 many moons ago when I visited Japan. I only bought in tub to try since I heard so much about the brand but not particularly about this product. I was pleasantly surprised with everything about this spf. The texture is just dreamy; light, hydrating, easily spreadable, non fragrant and super smooth. It sank in my skin like a lightweight gel moisturiser without leaving any and I repeat ANY kind of residue or tackiness. It literally is appeared into my skin leaving it soft, plump and hydrated. There was no white cast even though the name suggests “white gel”. The spf layered pretty well over my other skincare items and under makeup. There was no pilling. It also didn’t irritate my eyes or sensitive skin. I used it in 40C degrees heat too and didn’t burn at all. I must admit that this is the best Asian SPF I’ve ever used and trust me I’ve used over 50 different products.

This is the only sunscreen that has not broken me out yet, i really love this sunscreen and it’s light weight and smoot texture. I’m really happy with this

My initial impression was that since it has rice ingredient in it, it would feel or leave a powdery effect because that’s how rice grains are to touch. With actual use, this is rather the opposite, it’s moist. It dries completely transparent, layers will with other skincare or make up products too. It does not leave any greasy residue or film on your skin. No weird fragrance or stinging alcohol too! I especially love this both with or without make up on too ❤️

I do have the EU Version of the original japanese one and I can say that it's hydrating and there's no white cast. It absorbs pretty good into the skin.
