Dry/Sensitive

I received this product for free from Picky and Torriden in exchange for my honest review. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Price: Around $20 for 50 ml Packaging: Clear plastic bottle with a dropper Key Ingredients: Glycerin, Combination of 5 different weights of Hyaluronic Acid (Hydrating & Moisturizing) Panthenol (Vit B5), Allantoin, Madecassoside (Calming) Malachite Extract among other flower and root extracts (Antioxidants) What I liked: Viscous, gel like texture that has a nice slip on the skin Spreads and absorbs well and does not feel tacky Gives an intense boost of hydration to the skin Gentle and helps to calm irritated skin Can be paired with anything and everything Gorgeous pastel blue color that is due to the Malachite extract This is a really nice, lightweight serum that will suit all skin types. If you're looking for a boost of hydration, this is a really good option. The texture is enjoyable and it has no fragrance or artificial/added colors so it should suit even the most sensitive skin. I've been using it everyday in the AM and PM as my first serum after applying my toner(s). It absorbs really well and does not feel tacky or sticky. It's 50ml so it will last quite a long time as well. I generally don't advocate for stand alone HA serums as it is found in so many(practically all) products already but if you're looking for a hydrating, calming, skin-barrier repairing serum, this is a great option.

Oily/Resilient

One of Mixsoon's bestselling products, this Hyaluronic Acid Serum features Glacier Water 💩 which is known for its high mineral content and ability to soothe and nourish the skin. Rich in nutrients and effective in hydrating this serum provides an instant moisturizing effect for all skin types, leaving the skin supple and plump. The formula also contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid to form a moisture barrier around the skin, preventing moisture loss and locking in hydration and nutrients. Hyaluronic Acid is valued for its ability to hydrate the skin, reduce the signs of aging, aid in wound healing and provide soothing effects, making it a versatile and beneficial skincare ingredient. I could definitely feel the calming effect especially on days when my skin is feeling irritated and dry from the cold weather. I noticed a significant improvement in the overall hydration of my skin. My dry/flaky patches disappeared and my skin felt smooth. This serum packs a powerful hydration and radiance boost and forms a moisture film over the skin to help strengthen the barrier. It feels slightly tacky but that soon goes away when I immediately apply a moisturizer afterwards. Another impressive aspect of this serum is that it only contains 5 ingredients and is 🆓 of any harsh chemicals and fragrances.

Essence Toner

Dry/Resilient

This toner has a waterless formula which contains 91% of Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract. The bottle has an opening from which you can pour the product, and it’s easy to dispense because the toner is somewhat viscous. It doesn’t get as “messy” as very watery toners. Just like all toners, apply this after cleansing. I pour it on the palm of my hand, rub hands together and pat it on my skin. You can layer this depending on your skin’s needs. Don’t let the last layer dry completely before jumping to the next product of your routine. It’s very easily buildable and doesn’t become tacky. I use it morning and night. No need to use a cotton pad. Absorbs well, doesn’t leave any tacky feeling or any film on the skin. This toner really helps me with relieving that uncomfortable dry skin feeling that you sometimes have even after applying your skincare products. If you feel like your skin still feels dry under your skincare, then you may give this a try and pair it with an essence. It really makes a difference. I don’t notice any long term brightening effects from the toner, but I have noticed reduction in inflammation. Thus, the skin appears more even. Works great not only layered but with other skincare products and doesn’t affect sunscreen or makeup. It creates a smooth canvas instead and improves texture. I was a bit surprised by the scent at first. It smells herbal/earthy because it contains Milk Vetch Root Extract. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it’s not overwhelming either. Seeing how often I reach for this toner and how much of it I use, it doesn’t bother me in the least. This toner does not contain alcohol, fragrance or essential oils.
