Dear Klairs Reviews
All products gifted by the brand and Picky in exchange for my honest reviews. I’m including both the ones I enjoyed and ones I didn’t. Just because we get the products for free doesn’t magically mean they’ll all work for us. We all have different skin types as well as personal preferences. These are my personal thoughts on each product. I hope you find them to be helpful in finding the right product for you! Overall I’ve enjoyed most of the products I’ve tried from this brand though.

Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop
A super gentle option with only 5% vitamin C, great for both sensitive skin and those who are nervous about introducing this active to their routine.
MeaningInMakeup
I received this product for free from Picky and Dear, Klairs in exchange for my honest review. If you have sensitive skin or are looking for a way to introduce a gentle vitamin C product into your routine, this is a perfect option because it features only 5% vitamin C. So it’s nice and gentle compared to some formulas that I’ve tried which were as high as 20%. This is a great starter option! It’s also super easy to incorporate into your routine in my opinion. There are no artificial fragrances, and what you do smell is naturally occurring in the essential oils. Even though this features oils in the formula, this isn’t an overly heavy serum, it still absorbs pretty easily upon application. I very much enjoyed the texture, and this was a super gentle formula that still worked for me and my post acne hyperpigmentation/active acne. This was super easy to add into my regular routine, and I highly suggest this to anyone looking into trying to add vitamin C to their routine and aren’t sure where to start.

Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask
I could not get over the texture of this one. It did a decent job at moisturizing. But I disliked how sticky it felt after application when I applied it by itself.
MeaningInMakeup
I received this product for free from Picky and Dear, Klairs in exchange for my honest review. For those who don’t know, Vitamin E helps your skin better absorb Vitamin C. Which is why this was given with the Vitamin C serum also from Dear Klairs. Of the two, I much preferred the serum. The texture of this just was not for me, and you can read more about that in what was bad about the product below. I appreciate that there were no artificial fragrances in this product. What you do smell is a result of the oils in the formula. This was a moisturizing option, and I like that this could be used more than one way. You can use this as a traditional cream after a toner or serum, or you can use it combined with another essence or cream as an overnight mask to trap the moisture if you’re dealing with dry skin. Just remember to wash it off in the morning. But overall, because I couldn’t get over the texture of this product, I’m giving it three out of five stars.

Maple Energy Infusing Serum
Absolutely adored this one! I was pleasantly surprised that this one didn’t feel sticky. One would think sap would create a sticky formula, but it surprisingly didn’t. It was super fun to play with and left me nice and hydrated.
MeaningInMakeup
I received this product for free from Picky and Dear, Klairs in exchange for my honest review. I had no idea what to expect with this formula going in. I live in the Pacific Northwest and spent a lot of time camping as a kid, so I know how thick and goopy tree sap can be. I assumed the texture of this serum may be similar to that. One may also believe this from the pictures that I shared. Surprisingly, it wasn’t a heavy texture. It was not thick, heavy, or goopy. Instead it was probably a medium texture, which did an amazing job at hydrating my dry leaning skin immediately upon application. It did leave my skin feeling slightly tacky, but if you pair it with a good moisturizer, the sensation goes away after the moisturizer dries. This is a product that claims you will see a difference in your skin, 30 minutes after application. I did not see a huge difference at that time, but I did see instant hydration as soon as I applied this serum. I love that this is a fragrance free formula. The tree sap is meant to help with the appearance of pores and fine lines, plus it helps your skin barrier with all the hydration that this offers. It does make up the majority of the formula, and one can tell this by the ingredient label. The first listed ingredient is what makes up the most of a product’s formula. So this product is true to its name. As someone with dry leaning and overly sensitive skin, this was a product that easily won me over. I’m a big fan of instantly hydrating products, and can see myself reaching for this often as part of my regular skincare routine.

Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil
I was not a very big fan of the scent of this product. Plus it stung my eyes when I used it to try and remove mascara on my eyes at the end of the day. If I can’t use a cleanser on my eyes, what’s the point of it?
MeaningInMakeup
One of my favorite things about this product is the fact that it didn’t leave as much of a residue as most other cleansing oils that I’ve tried. So you don’t really have to double cleanse with this one unless you really want to. It did a decent okay at removing my foundation and SPF at the end of the day. My notes about the fragrance and makeup removal are in the ‘things I didn’t like’ section. Key ingredients: jojoba seed oil, Black Currant Seed Oil, and black soybean oil. Black currant seed oil helps with moisture and the healing process, making it a great ingredient to help with acne as well. Black soybean oil is meant to help dry leaning skin. Meaning this is a formula that is meant to help both dry and oily leaning skin. It may seem contradictory, but oils are often good for oily leaning skin as well. I have drier leaning skin, and this cleanser did not feel stripping of moisture at all. Even on the rare occasion that I did decide to double cleanse (I still often do this with cleansing oils, even though this one didn’t leave as much of a residue feeling as some other oils).

Fundamental Ampule Mist
Love spray skincare, but once again this one stung my eyes. This time I was by accident. I had my eyes tightly closed when I applied the spray, but I opened them too soon and a bit got into my eyes. So I have to cover my eyes whenever I use it.
MeaningInMakeup
I’m usually someone who prefers spray products in my routine because they’re supposed to be easier to use. That wasn’t the case with this one for me, I did end up having to remember to shield my eyes whenever I use this product (because it stung like no other if my eyes weren’t closed tight enough during the spraying application process). I do usually enjoy spray skincare because it means you can easily re-apply throughout the day for an added layer of moisture without needing to make sure your hands are clean to pat the serum in. Because it’s such a fine mist, it dries easily on its own. Key ingredients include green tea (which is great for inflammation like acne), cucumber extract and rice extract for moisture. It does have a light scent to it as well due to which is another reason it wasn’t my favorite product. It was an average product to me which is why it’s getting three out of five stars.

Rich Moist Soothing Cream
I’m a huge fan of this moisturizer! It was perfect for my dry leaning skin. Nice and gentle too.
MeaningInMakeup
This was an easy five out of five stars for me. I adore skincare that is free of added fragrances. I’m someone with dry leaning skin, so thicker creams like this one tend to be better for my everyday routines (especially in the winter). I deal with eczema of the face, so the real test for me and moisturizers is whether I wake up with flaky skin in the morning. I am happy to say I had no flakes after using this cream overnight! You don’t need a ton of this moisturizer either. A little bit goes a long way. Even just a bit more than a pea size was enough for my whole face and neck. I think you can do an even smaller amount if you have more oily leaning skin. It didn’t leave me feeling greasy after application which is also important to me. My skin still felt like it could ‘breathe’ with this cream, even though it was in the thicker side. Key ingredients are: glycerin, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and panthenol to really help your skin maintain moisture. It also features rice bran and Centella Asiatica. It is formulated to help with oil balance, even though people with oily skin automatically think thicker creams won’t work with their skin type. Sometimes skin gets oily as a result of your skin actually being dry. The skin over produces oil as a result of it lacking moisture in your routine. So this may be worth a shot to add to your routine too.

Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum
This was one of my first ever Picky review rounds! 🥺 So it wasn’t quite as in depth as my more recent ones. I also didn’t make video reviews at the time.
MeaningInMakeup
As someone with dry leaning skin, this was a super hydrating gel serum. Not only that but I adore that this serum didn’t leave behind a sticky feeling residue either. Plus I felt that it helped with the redness my skin can get left behind from acne. I also liked that it didn’t have a strong dcent either. I cannot suggest this enough!

Midnight Blue Calming Cream
Another fantastic moisturizing option from Dear Klairs! This one isn’t quite as thick as the soothing cream. I would say it’s more like a medium texture. I also loved how it instantly cooled my skin. Plus it’s blue without the use of artificial colorants.
MeaningInMakeup
Why is the cream blue? One of the main ingredients is Guaiazuleme, which comes from chamomile oil. It is usually a dark blue, but once the ingredient is added to the cream, it turns into the lighter blue we see. I really loved the texture of this cream. It’s one of those that wasn’t too thick or too thin, just right in my opinion. It absorbs into your skin super easily, which is why I think this would still work for people with more oily leaning skin. I have dry leaning and overly sensitive skin, and it really enjoyed this formula. I just had to use a bit more of it because of the lightweight texture. I also loved the glycerin, jojoba seed oil, and shea butter in the formula. Even though it features those ingredients, this didn’t leave my skin feeling oily or greasy after application. Not only is it meant to help cool down your skin upon application, it is also meant to help with redness for irritated skin. I’m someone who runs hot (it’s not uncommon for my temp to be 99 at Dr appts), so my cheeks are often red. I did notice an immediate difference in how red my cheeks were, and hopefully you can see the difference in my before and after picture as well! This is meant to help your skin heal after sunburns thanks to the Centella Asiatica which helps your skin’s barrier health. I think a lot of people would love adding this to their routine as a result.
