Petroleum jelly like texture makes it great for moisturizing, slugging or using on wounds. I use it as a cream and it’s very thick. It’s more gentle than the cream which made my skin sting when i used after a depilatory. It has three essential ceramides that dry skin lacks and ha to lock in moisture. It has both inner and outer seals which was important with this specific jar because the outer one was broken. The ointment gets on the inside of the lid from the sides so it’s important to use the product on the inner sides of the jar first. Has an expiration date.
