when shoul I apply aloevera gel? is it before or after serums?

The picky app suggested that I use it after my moisturizer but I am not convinced since Iโ€™ve also read that in layering we should also consider the consistency (thinnest to thickest/water based to oil based). Thatโ€™s why I am confused. Heres a screenshot of my night time skincare routine. I think it will be better if you use it after serum and before moisturizer. Because your moisturizer have thick consistency.

I've not tried that moisturizer, but generally the only thing that can penetrate a moisturizer is a face oil. Aloe Vera gel probably won't do much over a moisturizing cream. I tend to use aloe Vera gel during the day as a refreshing / soothing pick me up. I have also used it straight after shower to cool my skin down. In your routine, I would say use it after serum.

Apply your aloe after your serums. I find its soothing properties work well to calm the skin before you seal everything in with moisturiser.

The thing about the Picky app is that just because it suggests something to you, it doesn't mean it's right. I don't recommend using a gel product on top of a cream product. It cannot penetrate through the cream because science. Just like how everyone suggests, use it after your serum and before your moisturizer.
