MAXIPEEL: Is it a yes or no?

Have you tried maxipeel? If yes, how did it go? Personally, it did work for me. It made such a huge difference in a short amount of time. I'm a college student from the PH🇵🇭 and you know just how expensive stuff is when you're only relying on your baon / allowance. I did go to the dermatologist once, which really helped clear up my skin. But a few months later, I was going through such emotional turmoil that I broke out so bad while travelling to compete for a contest It probably wasn't the best solution at that time, but I was so desperate. Anyway, here are my before and after pics. I first used 2,3, zero then 1. ** ps: I'm not using it anymore^^

Just a gentle reminder: Please be careful using maxi peel. The ingredients they put in just strip your skin. It will cause it to be more sensitive and you will be prone to unnatural whitening. I know someone who used it a lot and it caused a dark patch on her skin. She didn't use it properly that's for sure but do still take caution when using it. Glad it worked for you!

Made sure to read all that I could about it. Double the amount of sunblock, having an umbrella with me all the time and moisturizing well. I guess all of those helped with the heeling process. I didn't use it everyday. Instead, 3-days (only at night) then a 2 day rest. I'm done with the cycle ^^

I never heard of it but sounds like smth that is not ‘generally approved’ But I’m happy it worked for you. Skin types are as different and as unique as people are. I heard people who cleared their acne with Dove bar soap or with other not-so-good products and that’s great. It may not work for most of the people, but for those who do it’s great

You're right about it not being "generally approved". Despite of what I hear about it, I took the risk. There's this sort of stigma aroundbusing this product, so I don't openly talk about it when people ask what helped my skin.

I haven't tried Maxipeel. I remember when I was a kid, this product was a hype, and I can see my neighbors having red, peeling cheeks it looked like it hurts a lot. From that moment I promised myself not to use this.

I definitely told myself that, too! I was really worried, not gonna lie. Such a relief that things didn't go too bad.

Tried numbers 2, and 3. As I am have combination skin(oily on my Tzone), I didn't peel but it did give me that blushed/glass skin look with PIE😅 Left me with visible pores on my cheeks tho😔. So I discontinued using it.

Now I’m curious! What is it and why is it so bad? Is it a harsh exfoliant? Hydroquinone?

It contains both Tretinoin and 2% Hydroquinone. It causes increased sensitivity to the sun, skin redness and misuse amd/or abuse can lead to permanent skin damage. Both have been banned here in the Philippines and are considered as drugs when present in COSMETICS. It is speculated that misuse of Tretinoin may cause harm to pregnant women and the fetus. Studies suggested, along with it's many other side effects, can cause of skin cancer. Although as of now, no evidence can fully support that hydroquinone is carcinogenic. If used, it should only be at low concentrations, for a short period of time and with the approval of your doctor. A few brands have been taken down and FDA has been giving out warnings. PS. Maxipeel is FDA approved. If ever I wrote something wrong, please correct me;;
