Vitamin C: serum or moisturiser?

Hello beautiful users, I was wondering if a vitamin C moisturiser could be useful or not. I’m about to open the Purito Cream tube, but I’m doubtful. Maybe it would be better to use a vitamin C serum under the sunscreen daily, and then using an other kind of moisturisers (with other ingredients) nightly, wouldn’t it? Thank you in advance for all your precious suggestions, brands and products made the different for you are welcome! Kisses.

Personally I prefer to keep my moisturiser with no actives, more soothing and calming and have a dedicated vitamin C serum in my routine. I find it helps to not complicate the routine as there are some actives that don't play well with vitamin C.

I would prefer creams over serums bc i have really sensitive skin but if your skin can handle it than go for a vitamin C serum. I would recommend the Skinceuticals vitamin C: ce ferulic serum. it’s expensive but it works. I used this on my mosquito scars and it did it’s job.

I prefer my vitamin C on serum forms, I see faster results that way and I feel like my skin easily absorbs all the vitamin C goodness, but it was a bit irritating at first lol. And I agree with the other users who said that vitamin C in moisturizer form is good for people whose skin can't tolerate it in serum form but still want to incorporate or introduce vitamin C in their routine. I think it's less concentrated and kind of has a buffer.

High percentages of Ascorbic Acid made my skin irritated too, but the Drunk Elephant serum didn’t and worked very well, so I’m curious to try other products, with milder forms of Vitamin C maybe.

I think that vitamin C serum works better on its own.
