UVA rays take the longest to reach us, if that makes sense. So think of it as a line from the sun to you. So UVA rays are the least damaging (intense) & give you a golden tan. UVB rays are shorter, so they cause more damage & the rays are more intense. They give you that reddish/orangish tan instead of a golden tan bc the rays are more damaging. UVC rays are where the ozone layer is broken from pollution & is the most intense rays. This is how it was explained to me in a skincare course I took to be a tanning tech. So in the tanning industry, low intensity beds are UVA rays. High intensity beds are UVA & UVB rays, but more UVB.
