It's not uncommon for some people to experience oiliness around the ear canal. One possible reason could be the presence of sebaceous glands in that area, which can produce excess oil. To help manage it, you can try using a gentle cleanser specifically for the ears and avoid harsh or irritating products. Additionally, make sure to thoroughly rinse and dry your ears after washing your face or hair to remove any residual product.

@PicKyAnnAnn Yes, there are cleansers specifically designed for ear hygiene. These ear cleansers are typically gentle and help remove excess earwax and debris from the ear canal.
And It's important to note that ear cleaning should be done with caution and under the guidance of a healthcare professional. It is generally not recommended to use cleansers or other products inside the ear canal without proper guidance.

I have the same problem. Obviously, we wash our ears, I don't know why it happens.

make sure you’re washing your ears after your hair to avoid soap build up, as far as wax goes I use peroxide in my ears once a month to keep them clean! U can also dip a q tip in peroxide and clean the outside of your ear to avoid acne! Hope this helps

Ooh, peroxide, you say? The normal one that you usually get from the pharmacy? Is it okay to use it on the ear? Does it get super dry or anything?

Oh? Just a warm towel, do you put anything on afterwards, like some skincare outside of the ear?

I used a gentle toner on a qtip to clean my ears on the rare occasions it happened. Not deep in the canals of course, but all around it where it was oily.
