Surface Oxidation of Vitamin C

I paused the use of Vitamin C due to what appears to be surface oxidation, resulting in skin darkening rather than the anticipated brightening effect. Has anyone experienced this? Given the scientific backing behind Vitamin C's effects, I'm hesitant to abandon it altogether and still considers reusing it. Despite following various online tips to prevent this (which obviously didn't work for me), has anyone found an effective workaround that addresses this issue?

Dry/Sensitive

Well it might help if you just reveal which product that you mention here dear. Maybe anyone else shared the same reaction as yours? But all I know vit c formulation has two sides. The stable ones which tends to be vit c derivatives and the pure vit c form which tends to higly photosensitive( they oxidize faster in presence of light). I havent use that much of vit c products so I cant say much about this but my rule of the thumb is if it comes in darker bottles they usually will require more thorough care( need to keep in skincare fridge and shorter pao).

I remember this discussion that I posted. And thanks for your insights. I religiously apply sunscreen and use products that are highly rated by users. Anyway, I already found a vitamin C serum that works for me (without the oxidation issue). ☺️
